We don't know. maybe it takes another 4 years to hack the PS3 again or maybe it will never be hacked again?
Maybe CFW 3.55 is needed to install a later CFW in the future?

That depends on a few things

What the original fw of your ps3 was as some newmodels came unhackable
Whether you are willing to install a hardware flasher
The most important point is If a new cfw ever happens

try and see if you want cfw stay. if you want ofw get a second ps3 or update
it's up to you but if a new one comes out you mite have to be on cfw 3.55 in the first place so like i said it's up to you.
