My PS3 asks me to update my system software every starup
My old HDD is dead and i replaced to a new one but when i start my PS3 he wants me to update to new version 3.56 or later but when i install any version over 3.56 (including 3.56) its all good and the installation bar is runing ok but when he restart himself there is a new screen of software update with the version i just tried to install..
What should i do? ![]() Thank you

Okay what you should do is download 3.73 OFW(original firmware from the ps3 site) and put it on the root of your flashdrive or usb whatever you wan't to call it. It should look like something like this: X:\PS3\UPDATE\PUP file of the 3.73 ofw. You'll be on the latest firmware and you won't see that screen again.

i tried to install every OFW from 3.56 to 3.73 and every time the same screen keep coming.. |

![]() I don't understand why it keeps prompting you to that. The only think I can think of other than what I told you in the previous post is to restore your ps3 to its original settings then try to update it(that's if you don't have much stuff like saved games, game data, music, movies, etc...). Unless you don't care about it.... Sorry bud, that's all I can think of.

Sorry man... it sounds like youre stuck in an update loop. Alot of times you cant get out of one without reflashing your ps3 with a hardware flasher like teensy++ or norway or something like that. Run a google search for "ps3 update loop" and you'll find some things that worked for other people. Make sure to read about everything first though or you could end up messing up your system even more. Good luck man.
