For non-scene leaks, it will usually be an unnamed source. People do not do it to get caught. It probably either showed up first on Newsgroups or on a torrent tracker.

i can confirm that mw3 is real.

some guy from #ps3dev has gotten it to work but he doesnt want to release it yet. not sure if thats cos of legal reasons, or cos there is still bugs

So Duplex may have used the same method to get it to work as they use for the PSN game releases. If this is the case, then games that are not on the PSN, probably will not have fixes.

ok i getcha. The eboot swap seems fairly straightforward but the Patch and Crack method is a little vague in your description. I would assume that they would change some firmware or disk reference files to that of PSN files or something rather.

Good point. The holiday season is among us so it's only right to be a bit more optimistic. Doesn't the fixes for Uncharted 3 and Battlefield at least provide you some hope that we are turning a corner?
