Exclamation Sony firewalled the dev network, now you must be on the whitelist

Sony firewalled there debug update service a week ago, very BAD news indeed, you have to be in the whitelist like big companies to have acces the debug services, i hope i really don't ruined your day or night,
Many of the devolpers sites/services were already IP restricted (like SCEDEVNET was), and I am sure for the updates that they just cracked down on lazy devs and made them IP restrict their updates as well (its an option in their administration panel).

SO if DUPLEX or JB2 TEAM uses debug updates or eboots, well, You can forget abouth that for now, unless you work in one of those big companies, like EA, ubisoft and have acces to sony devnet, but i really don't think so, there are 2 ways, some clever dev HACKED the devnet, wich is highly unlikely, OR have the root key so we can modify the games to work on 3.55 or make a 3.7x cfw
My 2 cents

Found info on ps3 news and ps3 iso and other ps3 forums/sites, i am not going to post sources because it's a comprehension of multiple sources

im sure some devs would be able to still get access?
with the knowledge and know how...they must be able to get back on it under the radar.

i dont think so, but i must say that there are some clever devs on the planet, so who knows, but sony ain't stupid, they monitor all the ps3 sites aswell, but when a game fix is released, then most ps3 forums are going to dismantel the fix or gessing, and sony reads this, so they know, and that's the ONLY reason sony knows, i really hope DUPLEX are NOT going to share how they did it, otherwise it will on every major ps3 forum/site and big brother sees this to, like i said before, what's made in the undergound scene needs to stay there, otherwise... you get the point, SONY ain't stupid

I think this "debut network thing" is totally overrated.

Do you guys really believe sony is collection a huge amout of uncrypted debug eboots there, and everybody with access could basicly donwnload uncrypted eboots for all games?

My guess is : Battlefield got cracked because of a GB - PSN release (DUPLEX can crack every PSN game).
Uncharted got cracked because of a modified beta Eboot (needed hard patching to get a 100% fix, so this was one lucky shot)

Maybe (if this JB2 isnt a scam - and i'm very sure it is one) Sony thought "better safe than sorry" and improved security just in case JB2 is real and JB2 is using debug eboot's.
(But these are a lot "If's")
