I had the same problem as you, but then tried my Win XP PC and it works without any problem.So you're not doing anything wrong, just looks like it doesn't work on some Win7 installations

Ive just downloaded another fix that somebody has said worked best for them..

I don't mind trying different ones I guess, my save game wont go anywhere, just FTPing across that is painfully slow lol

I wish i had a camera but I don't have one. I test it on the ps3 slim. i repsarced it but it had loading issues. So i decided to use just the actor33 folder and it loads great from internal with no cutscene stutter, jornal working and fast loading. Just extract the actor33.psarc into a folder, overwrite the jornal pak file with the one in the pack, swap the eboot, edit the sfo, and replace the camera.txt.

I got the idea from this link

cuando termine de bajar el juego que solo me queda 6 archivos por bajar lo probo y ya te confirmare si funciona correctamente tu metodo soluccion,gracias

te confirmo que funciona correctamente ya no se cuelga el capitulo 5 y la carga es mejor que antes estoy esperando respuesta de si funciona correctamente el capitulo 9 y 11.me han confirmado tambien lo de diario ya no se queda pillado
creo que va ser el fix definitivo.

probado usuario jolarcos de otro foro es el quien me esta echando una mano a probar el fix ya que yo todabia no dispongo del juego.

He probado solo lo del capitulo 5 y no se queda pillado, el diario funciona sin problemas, no he visto problemas con las texturas y no tarda en cargar, tiene pinta de ser este el definitivo, luego probare el capitulo 9 y 11. Salu2

finally it worked. but i must say guys if your hdd not a "powerful" one than you wont happy with this fix. there is "minor" lagging at cutscenes , subtitle problems , and at chapter 2 i experienced same "environment and models load" problems. i finished this junk with later fix but you guys must know if you want real uncharted 3 experince then go and buy that fu*king game! in example "at the end you are running , shoting but after 5min game stopped you with textures , after that it stopped you with music bug , after that it stopped you with cutscene laggin , **********... " this game's backup version is weird , like my english :D
