How can I convert a retail game to be installed locally?

How can I convert a retail game from BDVD to be installed on the HDD locally, and appear in the game menu? I mean like the games downloaded from PSN.

you install the game using multi-man and then get the special PKG that does what you want and install that PKG, or at least that is what my friend told me to do but never tried it.

I agree with this to a certain extent:

probably needs some FileManager work too though

However this is actually what I’m asking:

How to make that special PKG. I’m not looking for a windows application to do it, but the procedure itself;
how to make a pkg that runs from a folder on the HDD opposed to from the BDVD.

Hmm, good question as I would like to know myself, I will ask my friend whats the program which he was talking about and will look into how it works for some knowledge. I'm sure it works as Ive been on his PS3 and he has games that are installed on HDD and ran straight from XMB.
