I don't know if any pics are needed. In this topic already 3 people have the SAME problem (also chris from christechtv who is hardware expert for god's sake) - it's can't be coincidence.
The best thing we can do for now is to collect every ps3 model name which is not compatible with e3 flasher (mine is CECH-2004A). That way we can prevent buying this crap by other suckers like us But I dont know if someone would pin this list on ps3hax main page... |

Coincidences doesnt count for me, for me is important how is impossible find 1 damned proof on all the internet that this flasher can backup bios and downgrade on a fat console's.
Anyway + 1 to lunex idea, i update a tablet whit all models, ppl must feel free to come here to update the tablet slim: CECH-2004A- xxx nor - not working - all led's work fat: CECHK-01-spansion nor - not working - only blue led's work CECHQ-xx-spansion nor - not working - all led's work CECHL-xx-spansion nor - not working - all led's work Check 1st reply for updates. PS: a screen of your clip/installation and a external screen of your console is needed for update the 3d, we need to act whit proof, not only whit words and i need a proof that u really installed the clip correctly. Here a copy of the email i've sent to them.
Hello E3,just give a look here : http://www.ps3hax.net/showthread.php?t=29411 I'm going to write all my updates there. As you can see, CECHK-01- spansion nor - not working is confirmed by screens and video, and it's the console i own. Trust me, when i finish whit you , you will not sell 1 more e3 flasher on Europe and North America, also is better you fix those ps3 problems instead of keep on say to check the clip to ppl who show you proof that your flasher doesnt work. We are at 04/11/2011 and you still didnt release a proof that the flasher work on those fat models. You smell something? It's CLASS action smell, i've already contacted a lawyer, and he's going to send you a letter if the problem will not solved before end of month. Best regards, A really angry E3 customers. |

No kidding!
ok I will take a picture of the NOR clip on both my consoles and I will prove all my LED lights work ( I believe that is just a problem for the switchboard not being plugged in far enough; I had to push mine really hard.) * Here is something I think helps prove the clip is installed correctly without a picture(may require LED lights for this to actually work), Turn on your ps3 with all switches pushed down and your hand holding down the start button on the switch board, turn on your tv and see if there is any video out put or even HDD access. I believe this is because the flasher interrupts the NOR chips bios startup which proves the e3 is trying to access the NOR. I have a video on facebook of the E3 flasher doing this on a bricked console and it even stops the ps3 from turning off. I have also done this on a fully functional ps3 and I will be willing to upload both videos on youtube. For those of you who are friends with christechtv on facebook here is a video of me doing this to the bricked ps3 http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=...type=2&theater Last edited by FOXNULL778; 11-04-2011 at 06:50 PM. Hi mate, i dont need more screen from you, this proof is enough, and i've already updated 1st post...the flasher communicate whit the ps3 bios, but he give u error about bios init fail....
Btw the lights arent a switch board problem, for confirm try disconnect flat cable of the clip whit the flasher on, you will see the light's turn off. also all fat console have to hardly press on the main board because there is too much space between the sata slot and the ps3 external plastic, but i dont blame e3 for this, i just need to downgrade, then i remove the flasher. |
