You can already play all games with a 3.72 debug cfw. The ps3 needs to be on 3.55 to install this(or downgraded to 3.55 but then needs other tools too). No hardware needed. All(!) games work with it (need to put game into a pkg tho). But devs are not sharing it They do not want this info to leak either. But I thought it helps us more if this becomes public !

proof:

then you just need to convert the game for example COD.Modern.Warfare.3.PS3-DComics (needs to be ripped by ps3 not by computer) to .pkg ! and bang! there u go and can play all 3.7x games just fine !

any proofs beceause this is not custom firmware but only use debug firmware
no change of lv2 ect,,, if you see what i am meanning

i forgot to mention this You will always for any game need an UPDATE to start it! But most games have updates early!

EDIT: and of course try at your own risk! for now i just wanted this info to be out ,... now guys do somethn with it !!

after debug fw you probably need this one:

3.73 RETAIL/CEX PATCH

Patch version does not include entire firmware, not suitable for clean installs without prior FW
