CFW 3.66 from CFW 3.55

Hi guys

I just wanted to ask something regards to upgrading from cfw 3.55 to 3.66. I take it there is no hacks for the ofw 3.66 which is fine.

I just wanna play the latest games but I've got a phat 60gb ps3 with cfw 3.55 and think I might have to end up buying another ps3 eventually.

Does anyone know if a solution is being worked on to improve our chances of upgrading cfw 3.55 to a cfw 3.66 so we can all play these wonderful games out right now.

I totally appreciate there is a lot of work going on right now & people working behind the scene to do this but just wanted to ask in case I might have missed something.

There are plenty of solutions a bunch of dev teams are working on but so far there has been no news of much success and there is no definite date as to when the higher fw games will be able to be played. Your best bet is the e3 flasher which uses dual boot so you can have it boot up with cfw or ofw if you would like to play the newer games.

DON'T BUY E3! More problems and bricks than successes. Dual-booting is a pain anyways, if you haven't got a second internal HDD for your PS3. (Format every time you want to play homebrew game? Are you ****ing kidding me?) Either wait for a new CFW, but I bet this will take some time, or buy a second PS3 for new games, that's basically all you can do. Ahem... you may also get a ProgSkeet, update to OFW, play your new games, and when you've beaten them, just downgrade to 3.55. But as I said, it's pain in the ass as you have to format your internal HDD every time you downgrade. Do as you like.

Just buy another ps3 for the time being mate it us much less hassle and will work out cheaper in the long run than the E3 as you can always just sell the ps3 on when a 3.73 fix is found .

Spoof only blocks the update problem if you are connected to the internet, it doesn't let you play 3.60+ games on 3.55 CFW...
