yes the games will still be there. flashing your firmware has nothing to do with you back up manager.

Ok stupid question. I have firmware 3.72 are you saying to downgrade/restore the firmware to 3.55? and is that safe? I softmoded my Wii a few months back ,but was not as worried about bricking it as I am worried for bricking my PS3.

the only way to downgrade your ps3 is with a hardware flasher like progskeet.

Sorry but I am a novice and need an expert guidance.

I have a question. I cannot downgrade from 3.73 to 3.51 OFW it gives me "Data Corrup..." error. However when I try directly from XMB -> system update via USB Storage, it recognizes "3.55 + Kmeaw" and is asking to continue. I have not yet tried that because I dont know whether it will be successfull.

Please suggest me if I can safely upgrade to "3.55 + Kmeaw"CFW as mentioned. Or is there any risk of rendering my PS3 useless.

hmm i dunno i would not risk it. the only way you can downgrade at the moment is via hardware flasher like progskeet.

Hi again i downloaded the 3.55 ofw and upgraded my ps3 successful but when i try to jailbreak with the 3.55 cfw (kmeaw). it does not install. it says installing to like 26% then jumps to hundred but when i confirm it is still the OFW. please help

ok so can i like follow your tut(with the exception of updating from 3.41 to 3.55) and still have the same capabilities as a 3.55 jailbroken ps3? i am still struggling with the decision of using the dongle or using the cfw
