this may be a stupid quesiton but the hex file that should be on the e3-reader....is it already on that? the files that are on the e-3 flasher website are for the usb drive as far as I know...what should i put on the e-3 reader stick?

Just got my e3 flasher in and e3 card reader, will be posting an update as to my ease of installation and success. Currently attempting 1st downgrade on Slim 2004a model. E3 card reader came with lv2.diag file on it preloaded, I am hoping this file will initiate the downgrade procedure after which e3 flasher will come into play.
Anyone encounter any issues after step 6 as per instructions? |

can anyone post the downgrader files or put up a link...ive got a e3 card reader but dont have the files..must of wiped em some time ago

Hi guys!!!
I got the flasher installed and I got the e3 card reader aswell, it came with one lv2.diag file on it, but I don't think it is the correct file to initiate the downgrade sequence. What model ps3 are you downgrading on? There are some files on the e3 flasher site which I believe to be the correct files to be stored on the e3 card reader. however I dont know if the .pup file must go on the card reader as well?( getting stored on a micro-sd and inserted in the card reader) I need more info on this and I am hoping we can get some help from others as well. My time has been limited and I have not made any progress in the past few days as I have been tied up with repairs. Let me knw if you have any ideas or suggestions. ALSO I have had one BIG problem, I am not able to put the ps3 slim 2004a model into a factory service mode by pressing the power and eject button right after each other. Is this due to the card reader not containing the correct files? Or am I doing something incorrectly? Regards Met-Tronics |

your absolutely right but its all good found the links on the e3 site
problem was on the site the links a broken and its the global link in brackets that you have to grab the pup and downgrade files.. Everything went according to the video tutorial on here WRAPPED its now working back in the game with a jailbreak and console shows 3.70 fw hopefully can play arkham city now wooooo |

If you know what to do, you can install any selfmodded FW and don't need theirs. Even Rebug.
But I don't think the downgrade.bin could be selfmade, because I think this is encrypted for the E3, but I'll test this one soon. Last edited by just_idle; 11-08-2011 at 04:28 AM. |
