Just wanted to make sure it wasn't just me.
Is MGS HD Collection bootable from 3.55 cfw? (I have the original disc.)

I'm assuming that, as it's asking for a 3.72 update, an eboot fix will need to be developed for it (Or the anticipated release of a 3.7x cfw).

I was just curious if there was any sort of work around using rebug spoofing or the utilities in Multiman, or another back-up manager to get it running.

I can't seem to find any info on it, so I just wanted to be sure that it wasn't an error on my part. Thanks for any advice offered.

There isn't any error on your part. Your correct, you need an update. Just be patient till a patch for the game is delivered

Its definitely not just you. Playback of MGS HD Collection on 3.55 has been worrying me for awhile actually . Because putting it lightly, I really want to play that damn game!

It's a good excuse to go back and play the classics.
Plus, Peace Walker with 2 analog sticks will be awesome.

That's why I ordered this for X360. It's blasphemy and it's a shame, I'm a big fan of MGS and I grew up with Playstations, I have all the MGS games proudly placed one next to the other in my "gaming room"... and now I'm getting this HD Collection for X360. It makes me want to shoot myself in the knee but I want to play it and I don't plan to wait untill it's playable on 3.55 since it could happen tomorrow, in a year or never.

True, I'm not all that current on the ps3 scene, are we waiting for a special "key" or something to be hacked, or leaked to create the eboot fix for 3.7x games? It's specific to each game, or just each firmware version?

I have no idea. If we're lucky, somebody will find a way to "fix" this game for 3.55 like they did with Uncharted 3 and Battlefield 3 recently. If that doesn't happen, MGS HD Collection goes on hold just like Portal 2, Deus Ex, Dark Souls and a bunch of other games that are currently unplayable and will remain unplayable untill 3.6+ keys are (somehow) obtained.
