"Because some ungrateful person leaked my metldr exploit files I will now be explaining how it actually works, see this as my ultimate release of all times for an ungrateful scene (and scenes in the future)".

I don't like his attitude. First he has the exploits but don't release them. Now that someone has done it for him, he jumps out of the box to claim the ownership of this. Why?. Then he says:

"Now as a final line, I’d like to say screw leakers, screw the scene, and this is my last contribution to it EVER. It seems I can’t even trust fellow developers to keep my work safe and not leaking it. (Not like any of them would have been able to tell you how all this even works in the first place)

So long, everyone.
Remember, don’t ever bite the hands that feed you."

The hands that feed us, that's funny, lately he didn't gave us anything, just clues to nowhere or dead ends.

My eternal thanks to the leaker, now the scene will run it's course as was intended to be in the first place. Human knowledge belongs to the world.

I guess Math doesn't know when to shut up but he did provide some knowledge in the past so flaming him for not releasing a custom firmware or whatnot is just plain immature.

Wheter he did release this intentionally or not and took the credit for it, its his choice. If something comes out of this and bothers almighty $ONY, let him deal with it.

p.s. I am a father by the way.
Fair comment, and if I were him with his talent it's very possible any of us could act like him. After all, I'm merely a speck in the world compared to him yet can still write ranty posts on forums arguing about basically nothing...So yeah, you do have a point. Nice to hear a reasoned arguement I'll button it.

To say the truth i have been following this site and the "scene" for a while now, it really sucks to see how this "comunity" ,so called scene, worries more about personal egos and "ZOMG I DID THIS ****" instead of a common goal or real progress.
Being part of the linux development since years ago, i still can not understand how witholding information or giving "tips" that lead to nowhere (worthless unless you have the whole set of knowledge, files, know how to, or whatever you want to call it) its helping to progress. And because you "helped" on that matter we have to worship you.
Knowledge is power, stupid tips (i give a s*** if you want to call me dumb for being unable to keep up the work of someone else, who left it inconcluse, undocumented or in the shadows) are NOT a plus to the scene.
I donīt know if iīm being too naive, but the people with i use to work with are truthful about being straightforward and sincere, they want to see the comunity moving forward, if they have information they release it, they make it public, if it canīt be done openly, they make it available in an anonymous way, the wellfare of the mayority itīs way more important than the few ones, or even one (ST ftw).
I see the "what you have done for the scene?" coming, until now, i can say nothing, but maybe having more info available, or some extra knowledge, tips, files or anything....who knows after all sometimes having an outside angle, it can make the difference.

Beside that, my kudos to all the people who helped with their grain of sand to the PS3 scene, but itīs not time for their egos anymore, if you want to leave, step to the side, leave your countribution and let new people to keep going on, proper credit should be given, but please donīt slow it down anymore with silly fights.

*rant mode off, if you have any complain about my english, so be it, itīs not my main language and i still have more important things to learn.

Dam Math seems so pissed, I mean maybe this was going to be his official release to everyone and a leaker EFed it up. I feel bad.
************* [ - Post Merged - ] *************
Math please note that I personally think you are a great contribution to the scene regardless of what anyone says and im sorry that this happened, please @mathieulh could you give us here at PS3Hax.net a proper farewell because you just leaving seems kind of empty I think, and would make many miss you. Even better would is to hear that you aren't leaving PS3hax.net, well thank you. Best of luck.

... I read through the whole thread and still couldn't forget... This

Since a picture is worth 1000 words,

Anywho, I'll do the time for going off-topic if I must; slightly on-topic, I'll never understand why some of you get your panties all in a bunch over what Math says, doesn't say, does, doesn't do... you might not realize it but by doing so you are only making it obvious how important he is.

Some of you totally change the mood of news simply because Math chimes in, he's the puppet master, and you are his puppets. Just disregard him if you dislike him so much... personally doesn't seem like such an unjust guy, people have been talking trash about him at least since the psp days when a lot said he was only D_A lackiye, so he has his reasons to be pissed at the "scene".

Oh and... I don't think he's leaving, at least not forever.

On topic, I wonder how long 'til somebody does something useful to us with this... and how long before sony take away features to "patch" the exploit. Oh and spare me the it's not patchable comments, cause I heard those before.

So someone leaked Mathieulh's exploit that he was most likely never going to release. Isn't that a good thing for the scene? Too many hoarders in the PS3 scene lately.

Because when something attributed to him gets leaked or released, the public notoriously does one of the following:
-improper attribution
-comes to the conclusion that he's lying when he says something originated from him
-lampoon him, even doing so doesn't even make sense, for not being properly forthcoming and not releasing things that will "progress the scene" (a.k.a. enable people to play their warez)

Explaining each and every bit of the exploit is the only way to make people hopefully understand that it did indeed originate from him, and that *maybe* he wasn't bull****ting every time he's said he has made contributions and people still didn't believe him. There actually is justification for his holier than though **** on your face attitude, but people would rather blame it on him than really try and understand why ("arrogant!", "selfish!", "hoarder!"). The truly ridiculous thing is no matter what this exploit leads to, people will still express hatred to him for very silly reasons.

Granted, the way he tends to fan the flames doesn't help. The 'scene' and mathieulh's opposing attitude are just two sides to the same coin.

The hands that feed us, that's funny, lately he didn't gave us anything, just clues to nowhere or dead ends.
Frankly, I'd say clues are more than generous for such an undeserving community. After really taking a good look at all of the **** people spew, that every contributing developer has in one way or another had to face, one can only be astounded that anything gets released at all.

My eternal thanks to the leaker, now the scene will run it's course as was intended to be in the first place. Human knowledge belongs to the world.
Please; the knowledge is available if people work for it as every contributing developer has done (there is a literal treasure trove of information at lan.st, a lot of which has gone unacknowledged). Ask questions, read, experiment, and, god forbid, actually *learn*. But to expect **** to be handed to you on a silver platter when others have had to work for it is both selfish and arrogant. Especially when that very knowledge comes from developers who release to a userbase that essentially spits in their face 90% of the time.

If Mathieulh had no plans on releasing this in the first place, I'm glad it got leaked. Just sayin'.
