this is in no way me bashing him and obviously big respect for all the work he put in but he didnt do this for the scene and he didnt do this for us. its all this "behind closed doors" BS that drives this scenes drama

Why? Because he contributes to the scene and he's happy to do so. Simple as that. Respect for his work yes, not for who he his.

So yeah, thanks for his work but that's that. Now on to doing something about it.

And you can bet that when someone uses Math's work to enable cfw or eboots or whatever to make +3.60 games playable, the scene will appreciate the one who does.

When that happens you can expect Math coming out of the woodwork, harping on about how it was HIS exploit that lead to it. Oh and how he's returning to "the scene" for the 100th time. (That'd be "his scene" though, like his personal PS3 no doubt).

If anyone truly believes that this is the last you here from him then they need a reality check, although his talent cannot be doubted neither can his ego and ultimately it will make him return if even only to brag and tease. I can understand his frustration if someone he trusted has betrayed him but hey it happens to everyone at some point, I don't think there is any reason to ***** and cry about it in such a manner. Not totally true... Geohot also did this but never released the method that he used. From DUPLEX u don't have to expect they only release games and eboot fixes, and neither they reveal their methods. So that won't help u further to bust the PS3 wide open.

There is a huge difference between censored swearing and a homosexual pornographic image, of me putting my penis in @Pockets69 , also swearing is censored, that image was not.

Also, you stop being a child when you hit 18 years of age, there are many members between the age of 13 and 17 that do not need to have their young minds traumatised by explicit images on a forum where they are trying to learn how to hack consoles.

It doesn't matter if most can't hack and seem "greedy" to get their hands on your work. You should be glad. I've spoken to many hackers in my day and they were all always willing to share what they have, no buts or ifs and piracy wasn't even an issue. They pirated, like YOU ALL DO and always will do.

From the logic I read here a lot, it's not ok to be a pirate, but ok to hack a whole console open and then on top of that gloat about it by not sharing and basically telling everyone to do it themselves? That's very hypocrite to say the least.

Yeah, I know some released some things here and there and got us to where we are today but seriously, stop feeding hungry people in drips and drabs because you are creating this greedy beast yourselves that you so called hate and find so unappreciative.

Also, to the "why don't people hack it themselves if they want it" argument. We're a scene, the "hackers" have already done it. They are part of us, the people, too. That's the whole point of it. If they're not part of us by refusing to share, then they need to be quiet and keep it to themselves before they create a situation like the scene is in now.

I'm glad things get leaked. If it's the hackers themselves or an anon. We should thank Mathieulh for the explaination but then I'd rather he released it out of his own free will, specially if he's now sticking his name to it.

This goes for all hackers including Mathieulh. Release things anon or whatever you wish, but don't play people like you have been. Intentionally or not.
