i have MKV files burned to dvd+r and dvd+r dl and they were working fine before the up-date. i know its not a bad a laser on the bd drive cause it still picks up the all the discs types in xmb. multiman and showtime no longer recognize the disc like they once did.

to see video files to DVD with Shotime, you should first switch to the first "Direct Disc Access"

* To keep the same functionality as before you can turn on "Direct Disc Access" from XMMB Settings column.

I am having some problems with encoded subtitles in showtime in multiman.
They are in my left bottom corner of the screen, if I change size, they just become smaller/bigger, so it doesn't matter. They aren't on center. I can't change settings in subtitle settings, they are grey.

But when I watch a movie with srt subs, it works perfectly on the center of screen.
Please help me, I really want to fix this.

thanks dean i get black screen with squirrels release...the new gui looks nicer but i still can't seem to play sound in that dumb mono mkv file...hmmm

Aaah.. I've been stupid updating to 3.3.149 (from 3.3.143) and now half of my 1080p movies don't stream any more from my PC, that worked perfectly on 3.3.143 (got livab -1 error)

Does anyone have the 3.3.143 self to share?

I have a couple of .AVI files that do not show up on my media list when their source is my networked PC.
They all appear but don't play when the source is a dvd-R.
And they all appear and play perfectly when the source is a USB Flash Drive.

Any idea what my problem is? I prefer to stream them directly off my PC, and other files work in Showtime this way.

i would try a different media server i use mediatomb under ubuntu personally you know it isnt really showtime codec cause it works from usb

i guess mp4 wont stream to showtime but it does from xmb...
