Only thing you could try: use another SD Card, redownload the downgrade.bin.
After you finished the downgrade process, take out the SD, plug it on your computer and take a look at the E3 logfile..

I figured it would be. Grrr. This is ridiculous.

I mean, it has all the requirements. My PS3 started with 3.41, and so it should have the proper everything. The metldr version is v.1 so it can downgrade, and it is at 3.73, and the clip is installed properly. Makes me pretty mad. Hopefully there should be some kind of patch to call a stronger command so I can do the service mode challenge call with my downgrade dongle.

hey i managed to be able to backup the samson nor and the mainboard bin file also. the question is i know ive properly installed the nor clip and even heard the click and even taped down with electrical tap, so i dont y i still recieve unsupported ps3. on the actual micro sd, ive seen that it says metdlr is unsupported. also to get to service mode on the ps3, users will need a downgrade dongle and isnt specified clearly enough. its very crappy of the @@@holes to say you need to spend even more money on a dongle as the e3 limited and nor flasher cant actually get to service mode. you think these team of smart individuals will let you use your flash drive to get to service mode. im dreading the bluray cable as it is a pain in the rear to remove and put back in. i havent manage to even downgrade yet. how does a user get into the service mode without the dongle, at least add it to the device and so users can not have to be even more confused with translations from google. i have the softboard installed along with mainboard sitting in the hdd housing. the lights alternate perfectly and the console boots everytime. id like to ask for advice to avoiding a brick as it would not be fun opening and closing the case repeatedly.

another question to include is y do they even say your ps3 slim is supported but when you actually buy and use the kit all hell breaks loose, such as bricking, frustration, time consuming, and aggravation. u think these kits should be alittle idiot proof, so people cant screw things up and fry something with their somewhat vague guide. even though they give you error codes and numbers. without available solutions whats the point in even trying to understand the error codes without being pointed in the right direction. most people online havent even posted videos demonstrating e3 flasher in use. and everyone should know they are just as confused as anyone else. anyone can the read the guide and install. but there needs to be a video of someone using using it on slims and phats to give an idea of what to do.

I've downgraded my ps3 successfully yesterday and solution to your problem is that after flashing e3_downgrade.bin file and turning off your ps3 YOU CAN SKIP STEP 4 and go straight to unplugging your power cable and use "downgrade jailbreak device" with PSGrade on it.

have you flashed the upgrade.bin before? that was my mistake on first try. i could backup and flash the ps3 with correct setting and successful logs, but my ps3 stood on 3.72. then i thought, uh i forgot the first upgrade.bin (spansion) to flash beforehand. and after that it worked. it seems without update the e3, it has no rights to write nor but gives correct response.

yes, flashing upgrade.bin was the first thing I've done.

If it boots normally maybe you need to turn it on in a different way...I dont know to much about but when i hacked my psp i have to boot it from a different place that wasnt the normal button,but i really dont renember to much!
