[QUOTE=<GEEK>;280376If you can afford internet, 2 1TB hard drives, a pc, and a console... you can afford to support the devs of some of those games you listed by actually purchasing a retail copy. Hell, even if you and your brother split the cost on one title, while the other downloads it. If that's all you can do, then its still better than how your post sounded to me when I read it.[/QUOTE]

Ur right. But doesn't the 20 games we both bought before the mod came along, count as supporting the devs?
Also ur right geo hot didnt hack the ps3 but without him there be not keys! Thanks to failoverflow, kmeaw, geoho t, multiman, some russain dud for patching lv2, the creater of bdemu 1 and 2, and sony( for the ps3), activation, ea sports, duplex, math (for what little he did) hell i could go on all day!
PS. Hacked a ravr phone for 100kbps of unlimited internet for $5 a month on pay as you go.
PSS. Made my own pc from scratch for $25 had to buy dvdrom to install download copy of win 7 the rest from recy. got friend there. PC= 4G ram, 70g Hdd, p4 intel motherboard, 512 video card oh and the $25 dvd rom!
Mom always said make the most from what you got and boy did we ever!

Bottom line $5 a month= unlimited ps3 games, HD Movies, music, tv shows and yes im poor so scre w you if u have problem with me for making things came together. Something out of nothing! You see the poor have a way of listen and soaking up info to use tommorow and they will never look down on someone because they know where there from (the bottom).

id pirate the odd game that i wouldnt buy (so it wouldnt effect this result as if i couldnt pirate id just leave them and do something else), but why pirate MW3 and battlefeild 3 its pointless the mean point of these games is online play. i for one am going to buy a sceond ps3 here at crimbo and also some games like MW3, battlefeild3 etc, im not that bad lol. times are bad here but not that bad, if i couldnt splash out some cash to enjoy what would be the point in being here in life.

The second article indicates that total game sales have gone up 9.1% per year on average for the same period.

Conclusion: More games are being sold and the percentage of games being pirated is going down...and the industry is still making a big deal about how piracy is overtaking them.
Theres a percentage that know how to do it, and theres a percentage who
dont...Simple (Also a small percentage who wont, but knw how to...)

I'm not denying that at all i'm unemployed at the moment so i cant afford Squat. but this article i read on piracy bla bla bla said it was people buying second hand games and movies that are doing the most damage to the industry not pirates.

somewhat defending pirates per-say.

You know, the movie companies say the same thing, even though they have record breaking ticket sales.

If a store gave you every game title for free, you'd take every game title wouldn't you. Hell yea. But just because you got every game for free don't mean you'd have bought every title, now would you, hell no. So, just because somebody downloads a game don't mean they would have bought it, they downloaded because it was free. If a game is not available for download, then nobody will download it, and that don't mean they will go buy it if they cannot download it.

Somehow I think the copyright holders are skewing the statistics.

Personally, I have not gone all the way pro-piracy, but I really don't have a problem with it anymore. All the BS attacks on legitimate users that don't affect pirates finally pushed me to the cliff edge...one more and I'll probably be in favor of piracy.
