As they're pushing me into the ambulance I see myself as Eddie (the Iron Maiden guy) trying to bust out of my shackles. Pic of something close to what it looked like:

Did you have any dealings with mindless, flag-waving morons that act like zombies before you went to bed?

I love anything Zombie related actually... especially the series The Walking Dead. but I don't think it affects what I dream at night. It's more of my obsession with a Zombie Apocalypse. I see my dreams as a way on what would happen if I acted a certain way in different scenarios... seeing that I put other people first will result in me getting captured.

continuing with the thread topic:

Last night I had another zombie apocalypse dream.

It wasn't like my usual zombie dreams. These zombies were like the normal run-of-the-mill zombies... except, they couldn't come out into the sunlight (like the ones in I am Legend).

So, my girlfriend and I were in our apartment one night and remembered we left our cat out (we own a dog irl). Fearing for its safety (and apparently not mine) she sends me out into the zombie infested night to search for the little f*cker.

Well, as I'm out and about, diving behind dumpsters to avoid being seen/heard/smelled by the roaming zombies I find the little bugger. I snatch him up and stuff him in my hoodie and make my way to my apartment.

I get to my apartment and notice that the door was unlocked, a little too late since I was already inside. The cat starts hissing as my girlfriend comes out of the bedroom. I start to scold her for leaving the door unlocked and I notice something odd. She's shuffling towards me with her head c0cked (damn word filters) to a side. As she crosses a window I see her face in the moonlight... she's one of them!

In a knee-jerk reaction I fling the cat at her face and reach for something, anything, to bash in her skull. She dodges the cat with quick reflexes, dammit she's a fresh zombie, rigor mortis hasn't set in yet, she's agile too.. I grab a bar stool and swing away, she's evading and lunging at me all at once. With a clawed hand she swipes away at me and blocks the stool with the other. I swing again with all my might and she catches the stool. She snatches it from my clutches as if I were a toddler trying to keep hold of my bottle. She tosses the stool aside and I see her jaw shifting from side to side as she opens her maw in what I fear is her getting ready for feeding.

As I'm backpedaling feeling around for something to use as a weapon or a shield I hear her speak... in a hoarse guttural tone. She says, "Daaaangerrrrr, leeeeave nowwwww... nottttt bacccckkkk doorrrrr." She still has some humanity left in her but her hunger is too great to keep her from attacking me. I heed her warning and make for the front door just as the zombie I assume turned her barges in from the bedroom and two more from the back door.

I make it out but the zombies are after me, including my girlfriend... There's no where to hide but there's places to go. I climb atop a nearby structure and make sure I destroy any means of getting up. I'll wait them out until sunrise...

While perched atop the roof with nothing to do I wait... but I hear them, clawing and the walls... trying to get to me. I'm to scared to look over the edge but I push that aside and look anyway. They're climbing on top of each other to get to me! They're close! So close! One reaches up on the side of the roof, clawing at it, trying to pull itself up. It succeeds! Here come more from all sides! I'm surrounded...

and then I woke up.

I hope I get to finish that dream tonight.

"up to this point' is usually implied.
