Haha, you are quite wrong my friend, and you have presented a fallacy in your argument.

*Feel free to skip my complicated analysis below*

Society, AKA: the human species, based on sociological theory, begins in disorder, order is then created, followed by destructure back into disorder, and then finally, order is once again established. That is the nature of societal thinking; therefore, this ANARCHY that you propose is quite preposterous.

PS: I am NOT insulting Anarchists in anyway, but the Anarchist ideal, similar to the Socialist ideal, is just that: an ideal. This is mainly because property must remain private. Without structure and private property, we would once again return to disorder. Disorder, such as the act of thievery, is only systematically destroying what has been built for over 3 centuries.

*End of complicated analysis.*

If you have any reason or know anything about economics : Piracy is, by far, not GREAT.

Not only does it increase the cost of purchasing said products for EVERYONE (inflation), but it also forces the company to take far more precautions AGAINST piracy. Sadly...these precautions also restrict non-pirates as well... FOR EXAMPLE: ME

The types of BS DRM concepts enacted, due to pirates, are: Serial keys, Online-enabling-codes, Online-verification, being Licensed the product, but not actually owning it (*cough* Windows *cough*). The list goes on and on...

Therefore, because of the illegitimate actions of piracy, non-pirates are dealt the brunt of DRM enforcement.

Does that seem fair to you?

My point: Law-abiding citizens are subjugated to restrictions on their purchases, because of your negligence, irresponsibility, and thievery.

This is, IMO, complete BS, and it's something I must suffer for your acts of theft.

In SWIM's case, every game that he has on his HDDs were legally purchased; in addition, all SWIM did was rip them from their original media. However, SWIM is not knowledgeable on the legality of this. Therefore, he is protecting himself against incrimination.
