Just a quick note to all of the people calling BS, the trick is in the build dates for the LV0, for example in the twitpic it's 12 October 2011, 3.73 was globally released on 18 October 2011.

Then math posted to @playstation :

Mathieulh Mathieulh
Boot Loader SE Version 3.6.6 (Build ID: 4534,47762, Build Date: 2011-06-16_13:24:46) I am bored....

This is the LV0 for 3.6.6, which was globally released on 23 June 2011.

These are also the reason he is tagging laystation, because the build logs are correct. Math has actually done it.

This is amazing and awesome (yes both) news. While I do wish he would share a few hints of how he managed to do this, I cant disagree with his reasoning. Hopefully someone with much more skill than I can dig into this one pretty deep and get some positive results. I'll be keeping updated on this for sure!

Thanks Math, this indeed makes us work harder, as we know what awaits us.

Why does Math's Topics always start off in Cheers and end with Jeers?

Give the guy the Props he deserves, times have changed, these big companies are not playing nice anymore, we have seen what they can do when proprietary info is shared. And Math is NO ann0n Gh0st, he can't just post stuff and dissolve, I am sure his location is no secret to us or $0ny... I can see why he is not "fully" sharing, shoot, he may even have a lawyer telling him how close he can get without getting burned!

if you talented enough to make hardware to dump the shared lsa, you can decrypt any lv0.

Contrary to what most people think you do not need to find the public keys to get the private ones.

Calculate 0x880 to 0x3FC00 and stop hardcoding values.

And to however leaked the mt, **** you!

you know, if hes providing picture proof that hes already accomplished it, now no matter what happens or whoever ends up releasing the final custom firmware the reality is, Sony will look at him as the person who facilitated the entire situation from start to finish, no matter what any of us believe.

You know Math if you just do this stuff in private, and didn't plaster your name all over the place, you could have easily produced this for everyone without any fear of Sony filing a lawsuit against you, but now.. how is it going to look when your explaining details to everyone on how to accomplish this even in small pieces which you might consider personally not a full detailed description of the steps involved, but whats the difference.

All you have to do is release quietly, take any trace of your self out of your tools, and stop posting information which gives everyone the impression your responsible for things, its not about credit in this type of a situation, its about results, and i think its safe to say even the people who are frustrated with you, and never personally spoke to you math, you give us all a reason to feel a bit disappointed in you, you blame everyone for the people you associate yourself with, who leaked your work, that's your own fault for trusting someone who wasn't a decent person, its most definitely not everyone out here who supports this developmental work and wants nothing more than for you to be successful, or whomever else is working actively to create a new custom firmware for everyone to use.

So unless you are wanting to be paid for your efforts, ultimately what are you seeking to gain from being known for the work your doing, you could just do it, get it over with, everything would be moving forward, and people could focus on making great new tools, like a new chrome / iron style internet browser + flash plugins + netflix back for everyone to be able to fully use the console they paid for, so you gotta ask youself Math why do you do this type of work, just to learn ? or perhaps because you want to feel like you accomplished something, if its the ladder, then privately put your tools out, mission accomplished and we can all move on and focus on new projects on later firmwares to take advantage of new features the later firmwares offer.
