Pfff have people forgotten what Sony did to Geohot and Graf Chokolo? We should be glad Matthieu takes the time to show us IT IS POSSIBLE and not ***** about him not releasing stuff. It's his choice and we have to respect that. The glass is half full for me instead of half empty..........

People.. ask your self one quiestion, why the h*** would Mat post a "how-to" on this project of his? Why cant you start reading and start hacking the ps3 yourself? NOTHING is free in this world and everyone in here should know that..

Start contributing instead of flaming. Mat have already posted a few tips on where to start.

First of all, what most pirate junkies don't understand is that by releasing code and tools Sony gets there hands on it as well. If they know how it works then they can block it more easily.

But more importantly, people ticked him off... but that's just a personal thing so I'm not explaining that any further.

I would love to see how you would react if people kept flaming you while all you did was contribute. I'm sure that at some point you'll stop contributing (to the public) yourself. And again, do you really think he doesn't share with a select group of devs? But the more people betray him the more select this group will become.

Let's not forget that even now he still contributes; the hints he gives are a great help to the people who have potential in getting there. To others it is worthless, like it should be.

A final reason could be to protect himself, as long as he doesn't release things to the public, Sony can't do much about it.

To be fair to math, he MIGHT not be full of crap...but he certainly hasn't released proof of anything. In fact, the only actual proof I have seen from math EVER was one of the first jailbreaking releases...and that was actually released by someone else who just happened to have worked with math...and for all we know, the only thing math contributed was money or the JB key they ripped or something.

BTW...Math's stories are starting to break down.

He has said repeatedly that he doesn't release things because he is afraid of getting sued...fair enough...but then why did he take credit for the leak last week? Also, why did his "description" of how to use the files not match up with the code?

I don't know math personally...he might be a great programmer, he might be a clueless n00b...I have not seen any proof of the former in spite of everything he has put forward, so I have to assume that his goal is to challenge programmers to do what he cannot do, and then steal the credit for doing it first. I would love for him to prove me wrong, but I have given up on waiting for him to do so.

I do think people insult him too much; they should treat him just like anyone else who makes useless "proof"...he should be ignored.
