Cheers, you make some good points to be fair. I guess a lot of this is about communication. I mean of course it is his right but I think when people are challenged with sincerity they find it hard to hold a person in contempt. Math gets front page news which, i can only assume he enjoys althought I could be wrong. Just don't be so "look at me" about it all. A big of humble talk could give him instant respect, just be clear. But that's part of the problem. The gap between Leecher - Dev is somehow closer than it's ever been yet further than it's ever been at the same time.

It seems like people are either hot or cold...extreme on one side or the other about the issue, I rarely comment but I'm on here and other scene sites almost every day to check in...here's my 2 cents.

Mathieuh is someone I've read quite a bit about, I have absolutely no personal contact with him whatsoever so I give him the benefit of the doubt he's nicer on a more personal level but his public persona is consistently as follows:

He is someone who is constantly in the limelight for teasing something. He already said he was going to "quit the scene" and

He's back for saying "I have it, you don't" this is NOT someone who is going to silence people saying "he just wants attention" Regardless of talent does this sound like a person who you'd want to spend time with, respect or admire? No. Is it his right to do so as he found/unlocked/hacked something? absolutely. But then for him or anyone else on his side to expect there to be a total lack of scrutiny and or anger towards him for acting like he has the mentality of a five year old with this school yard type teasing is being ridiculous and has no basis in reality. Keeping in mind some of his detractors are immature retards posting on here, that doesn't make certain criticisms of his attitude any less potent.

Like most reasonable people if he released it I would eat my words and humbly apologize. He's obviously intelligent enough to recognize this yet does the opposite nearly every single time. I have also read he has helped out behind the scenes, that's great. I appreciate that, sincerely. But by that logic, If I help an old woman across the street does that make it okay to be an ******* to her afterwards? no, of course not. Each act is judged in and of itself. From what I've seen people generally see him in a negative light because he consistently acts like this.

This is not a case of him being afraid of something as there are many avenues he could take to get it out there while remaining anonymous if he really wanted to and take credit at a much later date when Sony no longer gives a **** and moves on to the ps4 or something as all the scene insiders would know regardless and could verify to the public after the dust settles, (I assume it's credit he wants because he revealed how the met works after it leaked and I never got the impression he was after money.) However, that's just a side issue...he could keep his own personal work to himself till the planet explodes and it wouldn't matter it's that he's going out of his way to brag to people on a public forum that is what is pissing people off, For simplicity I'll exaggerate the point but the concept remains the same, If you went up to a homeless person and said here's $50 and then said "hahaha just kidding" he would either a) punch you in the face or b) him and everyone around you would think you're a ****** bag. He announces at a place where he knows for certain people are going to want the solution he is putting out there yet his reasoning for not doing so is because "someone else leaked it". Ok...so what does that have to do with me or anyone else? If someone punches me in the face would it make more sense to punch them in the face or go and punch 10 other people in the face that have nothing to do with it?

Hands down one of the best if not the best ps3 developer out there, I don't see very many (if any) people coming on to say what an ******* he was/is when he was releasing new revisions of MultiMan almost every single day. I understand the concept that a homebrew app is not the same as unlocking keys or making new cfw but I'm specifically talking about his attitude and bringing what he could with HIS knowledge to the scene irrespective of what people "think" of him and how humble he's been about it as well as how friendly he's been to anyone that has had a question.

As for the people who leaked Math's stuff, do two wrongs make a right? no. But I honestly can't say I'm surprised people in his circle are like this, his public persona (if it's any indicator of how he actually is 1 on 1) makes him ripe for the untrustworthy type as no one wants to hear someone go on and on about how good they are at something without helping them along in the same area if they are legitimately interested if he has done such things consistently behind the scenes, then disregard that, As I said I don't know the intricacies that go on behind closed doors.

Regardless all this drama is just really dumb. I'll stick with the consistent people. He can do whatever he wants as he always has but if he's actually concerned or angry about the people belittling him maybe he should take the first step and show he's the bigger man by saying "hey, I did this and this right. I work hard, I made some mistakes in how I dealt with things over the past while, I'm going to do my best to change that" worded like that, that's like half an apology yet even with that I can foresee 95% of the people criticizing him would immediately stop and anyone else left over would be the ones ridiculed instead for being *******s.

Does that concisely break down and simplify things for everyone? I hope so. Let's end all this crap guys, seriously.
