- ps3 turns on
- led is green and stays green
- no adio, no video , no hdd activity

reflashing bios backup with soldered e3 flasher worked, but still no hdd activity nor video nor audio.

Great video, lots of good tips (using alcohol and foam, etc.), this is the best PS3 Fat install/downgrade video available to date!

I have two questions for you after watching this (or 4 depending on your answers):

1. Are you using the files supplied on the E3 site, or are they different ones (and if they are different can you supply download links to them?)?
2. Can you please let me know if this now allows you to use the OFW/CFW switch with two hard drives for the dual boot feature shown below (and if not, what different steps are required during the downgrade process?)?

Probabilly i've damaged the softboard at 1st installation, because i didnt used the tape and the board probabilly moved on middle on 2 iron piece near sata port, cutting it.

And also thx to you u finally understood what's this "foam" who e3 suggested me on email.
I did same tips, whit different material ( i used cotton + alchool) but i guess was too late, unfortunately i dont have a techician good as you in my country.

I've only 1 question, can be softboard related problem that my flasher never start the red and greens led? I see only blue lights work and also the progress bar dont work ( i just see the result error code).

You still need something to get your PS3 into service mode - PSJailbreak, E3 Card Reader, etc.

A device like the E3 Flasher or Progskeet, simply allows you to downgrade your firmware to one that can be jailbroken, you then still need to jailbrake it after that (well that's my understanding of it anyway).

Well, that's what i assume, but... can anyone cofirm it?

I've got too much info to process right now... but some stuff makes me doubt that statement. Like if you think about it, "it allows you to downgrade to jailbreakable firmware" which would mean it sets the base firmware to 3.55-. However, lots of people got their consoles bricked by installing a different type firmware(which normally works on 3.55OFW) and so far no reports of different CFWs being installed. I can't really get a clear answer, but I would say it's more complex than just downgrade to lower version.

That's one of the reason i didn't try PSP service mode trick...
