Can't read hdd

Hi.

I am using a PS3 with 3.41 cfw.

I've recently used eboot for the Uncharted 3 from here (http://www.ps3hax.net/2011/10/releas...-for-3-55-cfw/).

Every steps as described in the instruction were followed and ran the game from Gaia manager which gave me a message saying this game requires 3.70 fw but will force start it.

Also it gave me that it will fix a file which I can't quite remember.

The next thing happend was nothing.

The whole list from Gaia manager was gone. All the save files and Trophies were there but when I looked into the available space from system setting, it gives 0kb/500gb.

I thought of using ftp to connect hdd directly from my pc but I couldn't install the pkg to use ftp on ps3.

I am really stuck at the moment and I don't want to lose all the files in the hdd.

1 what type of harddrive
2 did you check the harddrive in pc
3 did you restart and try again
The list disappearing sounds like the manager went to update list(you changed files) then just hung/froze

1. It's WD Caviar Blue 500gb
2. The PS3 internal HDD format can't be recognized in PC.
3. I've done several restarts

Its not only the gaia manager. there is another homebrew that works like it and even that homebrew is giving me same result.

I've just ran some rebuild and some processes in recovery mode, which gave me the messege saying there are some errors in hdd. But it didn't seem to fix the problems....

Go into recovery and do a File System repair?

A PC will never recognize the encrypted PS3 file system btw. It will always see one big empty partition....

Did you make some room on the HDD, because you see it see's 0kb/500Gb?
(delete some homebrew or something else)

I did files system repair as well.
It said "the hard disk's file system is cottupted and will be restored"
The problem is, even after the restoration, the problem continues and it gave me the same messege in my second attempts.

And yes the PS3 encrypt can't be seen on pc that's why I was trying to install FTP home brew and it said there is no space.
I remember to remove plenty storage for the game before getting uncharted 3.
I have both open manager and gaia manager which is giving me same list at the moment.

I've reconnected my hdd just now but no luck.
Deleted couple of files but it still gives me 0kb storage available....
What should I do?

It will always give the error, even if the HDD isn't damaged at all....

problem is still the 0kb storage, even with deleting files... Did you also try Rebuild Database in recovery? If so I think the file system damage is beyond the PS3's ability to repair and only a format (best is on a PC with full format and let the PS3 do it again afterwards with the fast format) will solve the problem

I've already rebuild system but it didn't work.
I just saw another forum with same problem which says I need to reformat my HDD....
http://psx-scene.com/forums/f118/hdd...kb-free-68580/

If I had better internet connection it would be easier but this is just harsh....
I don't think I can recover any of my files though
