Cool grow or die

Everyone has a different reason for doing the things they do (family, monetary benefits, pleasure, pain avoidance, belief systems)

I fear the things that I fear... Meaning that, if I am afraid of something, it is obviously beyond my comfort zone, which merits it being explored and exhausted so that a new level of vertigo can be achieved. Life to me is about moving forward, doing the things that you never imagined for yourself, of yourself. Even if it stretches (you) in an uncomfortable fashion for a bit, (you) will know your limits and yourself, and probably learn a bunch in the process....

That is motivation enough for me in the morning, try to find an edge, and seeing how far I can lean over it.... In the words of $ony:

Play Beyond

Fat People - I have an extreme dislike for people who are fat because they eat too much and don't do anything about it. They are the reason why Australia's health system is going down the toilet, the reason why we have 2 day emergency waiting times and I DO NOT want to be like that nor live in the fattest country in the world (per capita).

So it propels me to do my best in sport, school and everything so that I will never get fat but so that i can help people who are fat to become normal again.

(this doesn't count for people who have problems with metabolism and such.)
(I hope i didn't offend anybody with my comments. If i did, go lose some weight )

I almost thought you were talking about Americans..(joke) but true. We Americans are mostly obese also. I'm 6'6 and will need about another 100lbs to even look fat....

That, and most other drugs, are the opposite of motivation. All those pills do is help you hide from what you are scared of, and instead of changing your life for the better, you become dependent on a false idea of life.

Those type of drugs just lead to other drugs, and not solution, just temporary displacement. If you just use your time doing other things, like studying, sports, or other activities, you could actually do more for yourself than you could have done for yourself on those drugs. I see people on those anti-depressants, and it just makes me really really sad...

Change is a BIG motivation if you are able to embrace it. Follow your instinct, and listen to your conscience tell you what you want. (that voice in your head that sort of sounds like you, and talks to you sometime)

Life is about living, loving, laughing, and understanding yourself and others.

I too, an American, have been wanting to lose a little weight for the past 10 years or so. I think Kinect and Wii are pretty good starts, and the gaming aspect helps motivate me to keep playing. I have not tried many of the workout games on the PS3, but I assume that would be good too. I think diet is an important part, and just always trying to remember your body is your temple, and in this life, should probably be the most important thing you take care of.

I am mostly motivated by the urge to make myself better, but also by the desire to get enough money together to leave the USA before it goes all-out Nazi and the borders are closed.

Mate i wasn't talking about just Americans or starving yourself in order to downsize to a reasonable, healthy weight.

The easiest way is to exercise. Get into some music and go for a run regularly. Even if it's just around the block, by the time you have lost all the weight you will be running marathons with ease!

Even better go play some sport. Make new friends and get fit at the same time.

Whenever i feel down i read this book.
