after it finished i try to turn on ps3 and guess what it's not turning on
now I don't understand what should I do, asked E3 but no reply yet

It doesn't turn on at all? Well, some similar stuff happened to me, but it turns on and then turns off in like 1 or 2 seconds. That is an issue with BIOS and I honestly don't think E3 soldering will fix anything.

E3 flasher needs power to work, it also needs ps3 to be powered on to flash the BIOS. (from what i read anyways) If your PS3 doesn't turn on (or switches off like mine) there's not much you can do....

if you solder to the board that one line and put into flash fun mode the ps3 will stay on and you will be able to flash the bios, but ive tried that and nothing has worked.

Edit: Yeah E3 has released some sort of Nor Checker to see if it was dumped correctly without errors...

http://e3-tech.net/download/E3%20Nor...ker%20V1.0.rar

I don't think they know what to do to fix this

Hy everybody,

I am in the same situation.
I have a good bios backup, check with the soft from e3 tech but the ps3 is bricked during a test to restore the bios.
I solder the wire (if you don't solder the wire you do not have access to flash fun mode in my case) do the restoration but still black screen and the ps3 shut down after few secs.

Ok, I got the first reply from E3. They just said:

you really not read our manual for downgrade
we say very very clear : http://www.e3-tech.net/download/8%20...ion%20flow.rar

after you see the text come out, you must unplug ps3 power cable immediately

and then plug your downgrade dog

e3 card reader can be downgrade dog

English is not really my first language and I might not now a word or 2, but i swear, i can't read "English-Detailed specification for E3 FLASHER relegation flow" as "downgrade guide". So for those who didn't know (like me). "English-Detailed specification for E3 FLASHER relegation flow" is actually an Instalation Guide! It's on their website by the way.

At any rate at that time i didn't have a dongle so i used a lot of different combinations and a psp service mode method. I do already know some people got a brick before/during "connect a controller" part, but Did anyone actually brick the PS3 by following the guide to exactly as they say?

Can you please upload your backup..? if you have the same type, i really would give that a try!
Thommy, did you solve your problem metldr not supported? I'm having the same problem here.
