I saw Shift 1 & 2 as being a more refined version of Pro Street. Actually, i love those games (i don't play 1 coz i have 2) because it extends into a category that seems more realistic. That is, the GT3 and GT1.

Maybe a career mode where you can sign up to race teams and use your money for more than tuning cars would be awesome!

Need for Speed:The Run is a great game. again its what Driver SF shouldve been. I love "The Run."

if they would stop being idiots and actually work on games, get a good concept, add a good story, add arcade/simluation-ish physics, add great cars, and real mods you got the game.

release one in every two/three years, so people won't grow tired of it.

I agree. I mean, that's what these games are all about. A meaningful story intertwined with racing which actually makes sense.

Take a look at Undercover. Great game, fail story.

Not only that but car customisation is the leading reason why people invested in the Midnight Club and NFS series anyway. While ProStreet, Shift 1&2 and The Run are great games visually and the game mechanics are somewhat realistic, they lost the freedom of expression that car enthusiasts are all about.
