2 questions about PS3 and PSP

Has some way to get into service mode on the PS3 without a dongle or PSP??
second question: My PSP was doing an update ... still in version 5.50,
the battery fell, and he bricks. My friend said he has a way with the pandora battery, but I just switch countries and I do not know where to buy.
Is there another way? This way my friend said, it works?

If your PS3 is 3.55 and/or UNDER:

How to get access to service mode

1.Make sure the PS3 is turned off,
2.Press and hold the power button on the PS3 it will power on then power off.
3.When it's off press and hold the power button again until you hear two consecutive beeps.
4.It will ask for the controller to be connected via the USB cable,
5.Turn on the controller and you will have access to the menu.

As far as your PSP,

If you have a PSP Phat or a PSP Slim 2000, the Pandora Battery will work. I've read the Pandora will work on PSP 3000 but, I'm that sure so I won't suggest it.

As far as where to purchase a Pandora Kit at try here.

Thanks about the PSP thing but...
actually, I want to know how to enter the service mode, not recovery mode.
and another thing, the recovery mode works on all versions of PS3.
but thanks anyway
