Sometimes you guys generalize that the only people who want CFW are people on 3.55 wanting to play/pirate newer games. That is not the case with many of us out there. Me, for example, I got my console on 3.55 but did not know about the Jailbreak until 3.66. Now, i see people non stop assuming that the only people who want CFW are already on 3.55! There are people who have never had CFW and would like to get it if everyone stops the drama and other crap and just let the devs work

This has been floating around in my mind for quite some time..Lets say that, yes, we do find our keys. And yes, sony cannot do -anything-. Now, sure, -they- cannot ban you from PSN, but online games can ban your username (MW3 or BF3, for example.) Now, since sony cannot do anything drastic, like 360 can, you'd not lose much in losing your PSN name for cheating/hacking/exploits.. Now, fast forward a bit. The PS3 is basically the PSP. Hacks a plenty, ways to cheat games, exploits online (because there will -always- be 'that guy' who wants hacks in multiplayer)..Won't the PS3 be essentially screwed? Sure, they can ban the user's PSN, but it only takes a few mins to make another account. I mean, there's all sorts of things they could do to counter this (i'm assuming, at least. Say, ban someone's IP, or only allow so many PSNs from a particular playstation), but since it'd be the PSP all over again, we'd have a workaround. What i'm getting at is.. while it's nice to play our games, you gotta think about the big picture too. Once piracy is enabled, it leads to online. Once you can online and pirate, it leads to exploits. Sure, games can patch them out, but when you can read the PS3 like a book, what good will it do? Sony can't just toss out updates every single day, nor can a game. Iunno, forgive me if i'm missing something (and for the gigantic post), but i'm really concerned about what's gonna happen when we have everything we want. Because there's always going to be someone who wants more. (though, then again, in a year or so there's gonna be a PS4, and at the rate the current PS3 scene is going, we won't have the keys til PS4 is out, in which i figure most devs [aside the diehard PS3 ones] would go to that) >.>

@LilPimpT wow hold your horses a little bit, i know ps4 or whatever is gonna be called its in developing stage, but it doesnt mean that itll be released in a year, dont kill the ps3 just yet, it has a lot more of life, otherwise the wouldnt invest money on new hardware revisions.

now if eventually theres a CFW, dont you think that Sony has a plan C in the security issue? of course they do and i bet they have a bunch of plans to keep hackers occupied. unless of course theres no plan c and thats why they sued GHOT and GRAF and all the other dudes.

Its been asked again and again in ps3dev irc,euss said they can,I believe him.

And after all this is sony we talking about,they can easily add some kind of scanning program(if they didn't yet) and make scanning mandatory by adding it to their bull**** TOS.

well theres one thing for sure, if youre into cfw you need to know that psn access will work for just a few days until sony finds a way to reject the access like a fw update, if people think that they will get psn access forever, well hate to burst the bubble but thats for sure that you wont see it. if people is interested in PSN access they should update their console and buy a legit copy of the game, or just get a 2nd console for online gaming
