Can't downgrade 3.41 ..
Hello,
I got a PS3 today that has 3.41 but it won't let me upgrade to 3.55 because it says I need 3.56 or higher. I think it was spoofed as 3.56 when someone installed 3.41. How do I downgrade it now so I can get back to 3.55? Thanks! |

if they dont work then before you had it , it must of been downgraded from 3.55 to 3.41 the old way which makes your ps3 think its 3.56 . so you have to downgrade to 3.20 or 3.15 then update to 3.55 ofw and it shoud work you will need a downgrade dongle to be able to do it via sevcie mode , u could try qa downgarding via gitbrew pkg files and special cfw but i dont you ps3 will accept the cfw . because the ps3 thinks it on 3,56 u can try it , its not a spoofer its the way it was made to downgrade . so only option i woiuld say is downgrade threw service mode . try it then them 3 in order i soad if u need more help im here to help you

You can use the files for downgrading 3.50 -> 3.41 via Dongle/service mode and then upgrade to 3.55 > 3.55 CFW works every time |

I've tried that so many time and never bricked any ps3 no matter slim or fat (knock on wood)
using Gt-break Dongle and 3.41 OFW no need to go below 3.41 |

Thanks guys I am back up and running but it seems the idiot that had this PS3 before me did not backup the Blu ray files as it wouldn't play any title before I installed the new firmware. Is there anyway of restoring playback short of finding out which Blu ray film was the last to be played in the system?
I assume I can't take the files from my CECHC03 unit and put them on my CECHG03 to restore Blu ray play back that way? Thanks |

Can somebody confirm for me that I have lost Blu Ray playback forever?
It is a drive from eBay that I do not know the history of. For all I know it has NEVER played a blu ray film. Because I don't know the history does that mean I won't be able to ever fully restore playback? Thanks! |

Thanks for the link.
I followed that and I still get a message that blu ray playback is prohibited. Any more ideas? Lol. Thanks |
