Set E3 Card Reader As Jailbreak Dongle (to access service mode on your PS3):

1. Connect the device to your PC, you will have 2 or 3 drives pop up (2 without SD card, 3 with card in, you don't need a card in).

2. Download “e3 downgrader fix BD beta”, then drag-n-drop the "e3downgrader fix BD beta.bin" file to the “E3Upgrader” drive.

3. That’s it — your device has been updated. Safely eject E3 Card Reader and continue with Khalkedon's tutorial but using your E3 card reader where he uses different dongle (PS Jailbreak in Slim video or P3Go in Fat video).

after you've used E3 flasher to mod the ps3 slim, can you take the equipment out of the ps3? Or, it has to stay with the PS3

i think you can take it out I am not 100% sure but if u use it with one ps3 u can't use with another for some strange reason

U can completly remove it after flashing "downgrade.bin"

You'll need:

- your BIOS dump (backup)
- downgrade.bin (2011-10-18 : E3_downgrade file copy to TF(for one key downgrade)V1.2)
- CFW (2011-10-18 : Enter and exit factory service mode file V1.2 (global link))
