Red screen of death/Progskeet

Has anyone succesfully managed to unbrick a RSOD with a progskeet?

I've got a cech04 40 gig phat (NAND I guess) with RSOD.
I've tried everything with this bastard, changing hdd, checking for loose cables, updating every new firmware that comes out.
Nothing gets rid of the red screen. It updates the console succesfully everytime i try to re-flash a new firmware(it's now at 3.73) but it goes really fast from 43% to 100% resulting in a red screen every time.

So is there a possible way to reflash the NAND in any way with a progskeet or is this PS3 screwed?

Appreciate your help!

I can't say the PS3 is screwed but in order for a flasher to help you recover from problems, you would need to have already dumped your flash to your computer.

Dump my flash while the Ps3 was still working, before the RSOD? Then I'm certainly screwed...but thanks for your reply.

Hope to see a working solution for this annoying problem in the near future.

Yeah mate, you would have needed a dump from when your ps3 was working :-(
Sorry for the bad news

Erm... i can't really say the ps3 is screwed. since you CAN update (meaning PS3 works (ultimately means that it's ok to some exent)). You might wanna provide some more details about what you did (out of the ordinary).

It's just a random guess and is probably wrong but random red screen + shutdown = overheated CPU... although it should shutdown before that, it's the only explanation i see.

PS: Spare us the drama.... red screen of death, black joypad of death and a god damn working TV of death.... god, you have to add dead to every single malfunction there is....
