Ps3 E3 Flasher unbrick from any Bios backup (Dump)
I bricked my ps3 slim using the e3 flasher. I successfully downgraded from 3.73 to 3.55 and was experimenting with it and install a Modified pup and got bricked.
I only backup the Bios on 3.73 which isn't going to work if bricked on 3.55 fw. My method is really easy and simple. First thing you would need to do is solder the wire SBE to PAO TRISATE as everyone knows that's how you reflash the backup bios, the purpose of this wire is to bybass the original start up and keep the ps3 on for a reflash. Now that you did that, go head and reflash any backup bios most likely gonna be the 3.73 dump you did in the beginning. If so flash it in. After the 8led flashes and it done, DO NOT TURN OFF PS3. Push switch 1-5 down and 6 up and push the reset button on the e3 flasher. Then take the sd card from the TF and plug it in your comp and keep your 3.73 backup bios in the card withe your downgrade.bin. Put back Card on TF and and push start, if without issues it should start installing the downgrade bin. When finished go head from there redo the downgrade process of e3 flasher but starting the next step with removing the power cable and replug. Put your JB dongle in 2nd usb drive and do the Power & eject method. Few seconds it should shut off and from there take usb drive and put step 1 files in usb drive LV2diag.self and ps3update.pup and put in pse usb and push power, next few minutes should reinstall CFW 3.55 Now put step 2 file LV2.self diag to get out of factory service mode in USB drive and put in ps3 and push power. Once again it should start and shut off. Now your set you are now officially unbricked with CFW 3.55. Any questions let me know. There is only 2 ways that could happen, if one your Clip isn't installed on NOR chip correctly or your e3 flasher having issues reading your sd card. Did you do the solder wire method? Also I would do a Nor dump check to make sure its not corrupt. Let me know! Last edited by Pro.Hack; 11-22-2011 at 01:43 PM. |

the only problem is that after i flash it and the 8 led lights flash...i do as you said and push switch 1 down and push up switch 6 without turning the PS3 off..hit reset on the E3 and then take out the SD card and add the "e3_downgrade" file on the micro sd along with the 3.73 that was on it and hit start....after pressing start i get i get error code 10001111....am i putting the wrong file on the card? i was trying to do the exact same thing you were doing when i got the problem lol...had everything working fine but got greedy Last edited by doctorjm84; 11-22-2011 at 09:18 PM. |

Put all switches down except 6th, and push restart button not before you change the switch settings.
So after you flashed you bios of 3.73. add the downgrade bin file to your sd card then put all switch down except 6th and then push restart button then push start. In my guide I said 1-5 switch are down and 6th is up. So the only switch that should be up is 6th only, the rest 1-5 are down Last edited by Pro.Hack; 11-22-2011 at 09:24 PM. |

Are you serious? I don't want to be rude and I am sorry if I am but your not paying attention.
after flash 3.73 bios, leave ps3 on then put downgrade bin file on sd card including you backup dump. Put on e3 flasher, next have all switches down EXCEPT 6th so it should look like this 6th < --- UP Down ---> 1th 2th 3th 4th 5th and then hit reset button push start after that Last edited by Pro.Hack; 11-22-2011 at 10:12 PM. |
