I got the laser with assembly included. It saved me a lot of fiddling around

I find it very easy to replace the laser. Once you get the top cover of the blu ray off, only 2 more screws to take off.

THIS!! If you have tested a drive (inc laser) from another machine with your logic drive, then it points to 1 thing and 1 thing only, the logic drive is causing issues, and the BD7956FS IC is what will be responsible.

If you're in the UK I'll happily sort it for you mate.

@LayLay , the odds are probably slim that you are going to see this post, but I'm curious if you've fixed your Non-functioning BluRay Issue? In your last post you indicated that you had power because the Blue Light was blinking. The Blue light blinking doesn't necessarily mean that the BluRay draive is getting power. I'm currently having the same issue, Drive won't do anything when I try to insert a disc. I've stripped the system down and measured the power on the 4 pins to the BluRay drive .... Black = 12v, Gray = GRND, Gray = GRND, Gray = 5v. The pins on the outside edge of the connector have the power. I get 5v on the outside Gray wire, but nothing on the Black 12v wire.
