just to make sure, the downgrade bin you're talking about is named "e3_downgrade" right?

Yes e3 downgrade.bin

You dont need that other downgrade.bin, they removed it as creates many problems. The one they have on E3 site is good

some question to the brick fix: do you had a solder point/pad on SBE? on my softboard were none and i have two of them. are there different revisions of e3?

e3_downgrade.bin V1

edit
this v1 downgrade bin is obviously different from v 1.2

you must use the downgrade bin from e3 website otherwise it wont work very well. And yes you MUST have that solder wire SBE to NOR Tristate Point

This basically means, you can use ANY bios dump from ANY PS3 as long as it's not corrupted. I think that's a wrong information
No I never said any ps3, I said any Backup Bios you have.. Assuming its from your own console only and yes flashing someone else wont work correct.

i could be wrong, but im pretty sure.
PLEASE EVERYONE IT HAS TO BE YOUR CONSOLES BACKUP BIOS, WHEN I SAID ANY MEANING 3.55 OR 3.72 OR 3.73 BIOS THAT YOU BACKUP ON YOUR CONSOLE.

@Pro.Hack i didnt want to piss on your leg, but your thread title is kinda confusing as it sais "unbrick from any bios backup". i am one of the lucky guys having a fukked up 3.73 bios dump, wich has the correct filesize, but contains errors (at least the crappy E3 checker tells me this). so im unable to unbrick mine and was kinda excited as i read your threadtitle, because i expected something diffrent.

For those of you who had issues with downgrade.bin giving you sorts of error codes I have an other solution almost the same as my guide I have made. It worked on my friends console he had same issues.

Depending on your brick type may effect differently for everyone, Ultimately I believe it should work for most.

In the process of re-flashing your bios I will provide my own customized BKPPS3 bios I made, this alone will not fix your issues but help get passes your error codes and continue with my unbrick solution.
For this to work you must have a good bios backup without errors
that your created from your console.

PS I am not responsible for any issue that could arose.
But whats the worst it can happen? Brick some more?

Ok now download this and flash it to your console, once its done shut off ps3 and unplug it, move all switches on E3 on PS3 mode 1-6 down and turn on ps3. Turn on ps3, your PS3 should start but no video/audio or HDD activity if so continue next step.

Remove your SD card from TF and delete all files on it, put your working backed up bios AND E3 flasher text document and load it on SD card to TF board.
Have the number one switch up and rest is down to reflash your ps3 so 100000 and push start. Finish that and LEAVE PS3 ON DO NOT TURN OFF AFTER REFLASH YOUR OWN BIOS.

Remove your SD CARD and put e3_Downgrade.bin file with your working BIOS and put it on. Push reset button 3 time before and after you change the switch settings to 000001. Push start and downgrade bin should be installing.

This may be confusing I am sorry having hard time explaining this so bare with me thanks. I am trying to help everyone

From there follow my other guide I posted and should be good.

Need a translation here.
Btw for me you just talking random since your first post.
Your isnt a guide at all, is the same guide e3 folks post on their site.
Also pro-hacker as nick but you dont know that ps3 bios is per_console and you success on brick a console whit a solderless retard-proof flasher....
This is a completely pointless topic and imho you are a 14/15 years old kid seeking for attection.

Yesterday I decided to weld the PA0 TriState standards and SBE! When I turn on the console screen goes black! This is normal after soldering?
************* [ - Post Merged - ] *************
I'll try the above method!
