I´m completely noob concerning PS3 Hacking, and there is something at the end of the post that confuses me.

"...or will it let you play the latest games. Not even with the spoof."

besides this, what do i need to play the latest games from the external or internal HDD?

Supposing... my original game disc is so damaged that i can´t copy it to the HDD, how do i download and install it from the internet?

What latest games can be played with this method (MW3, Battlefield 3, uncharted 3, rage, KILLZONE 3, DEAD SPACE 2, etc.?)

Please help, i need to decide if i buy a 3.55 PS3 or not. i´ve read so many thing, in so many forums, that my head is about to explode

well you use winrar to extract the pup from the archive.

not all new games are playable but. you can play

uncharted 3, bf3, and killzone 3 as far as the others mw3 is not playable atm and i dont know about the others.

i usually only install the multiman pkg, do i need to install the bdrom-reset pkg too?

No you dont need that. i have never used it.

Hey great guide im a complete noob, but how would go about transferring games via usb on ps3 AND would i have to patch post 3.55fw games myself or will i be able to fnd some patched ones from somewhere, thanks in advance!

So it looks like I can't use this tutorial because I am on 3.72OFW. Will there every be a way to downgrade my PS3 to 3.55 without having to open it up? I am really not comfortable opening up my ps3 and soldering stuff in.

everything is working great just wondering how to install hombrew on multilman and how to install themes on there too. another thing is that music that is played when u start up multiman is there any way to put a song of you choice?

well i use a external hd. but you can put the game on a usb and then use a file manager to copy over the game.

No there is not you will have to use a hardware flasher. but only if your ps3 came with 3.55 or below at one time.

yes there is. sound.bin is the file you want to change i think you can just rename a mp3 to sound.bin and it will play. i prefer no music at all.
