I have, a simple suggestion, what if we ask, nicely for this ? I mean, let Math know that we are not assh0les, at least, not all of us.

Just quote this post if you agree with me, and, if you want, add some words for Math, just to let him know you appreciate his work as much as I do.

And, to set things right, if you don't like this idea, or just don't like Math at all, let this post pass

I will follow but if you follow math on twitter then you know what other reasons why math doesn't want to release. He wants us to figure stuff out for ourselves and not spoon feed us everything he has.

I think that he ends saying that because all the flaming that he has been trough, maybe, if he have had more support and less b/tch'ng, he would release this. "He wants us to figure stuff out for ourselves" ? We are not Devs, we can not became Devs, even if we can, we are not going to give up all of our daily life (Jobs, GF, Family, Spare Time, etc.) just to start learning, first, how the PS3 works, then, how to reverse engineering, then figuring out how to use Math's exploit to get the keys, god, DH will have released CFW 7.89 before I even understand how to sign a PKG XD

OK I will agree on the fact that we are not devs but his "learn yourself" reason is still valid as there are plenty of devs on the scene. Math also was pissed about the fact that someone leaked his work, there are more reasons why and I'm sure most are valid and any number of arguing (whether they are valid or not) is not going to change anything. So that is why I did as this thread asks and take part in this attempt to persuade math to give us another chance.

Better try and fail than never try at all !!! Seriously, we are humans, we learn, we make mistakes, and I would like to believe that if we ask nicely, if we admit that we did not appreciate his efforts, but now we do, and want him back in the scene, maybe he will change his mind, and, at least, give the other devs some clues to figure this out !

Math, even if you don't release anything this time, I would like to say, THANK YOU, for your amazing work with the first JB Dongle, and for all the research that you've done, and, I would like to tell you, It will be awesome, if you give the scene another chance, not for this goal, not for the PS3, for all the future projects that would benefit with your knowledge.

or tell me, whats exactly what you want from him? keys? what would you do with them? post them in the internets so someone would make a fancy new cfw?

Most of the scene was super-nice to math for about a year...that got nothing. He knows that we are not all @55-holes because of the news from KaKaRoTo...he announced what amounts to a WIP for a developer-only exploit and the scene rained down praise on him.

Why? Well, first because KaKaRoTo actually makes releases...Math hasn't made a release since the earliest days of the scene and even then it was a release by a team he was on, not by him personally. Then some tool got leaked months after he claims to have written it and he threw a tantrum. This in spite of the fact that he himself has said that software should be released because; as everyone knows; giants are just people who stand on the shoulders of other giants...if you break that chain everything falls apart.

Secondly, KaKaRoTo doesn't try to piss people off. He doesn't taunt the scene with, "Look what I did...and btw, I am not sharing, figure it out yourself"

Third, KaKaRoTo realizes that while piracy is going to happen, it is going to happen with or without him, even with or without the PS3. He develops for the honest people who just want to have the features they paid for like working media players and OtherOS. He also develops for people who just want their system to work...because most repairs cannot be done on OFW 3.56 or higher. Math just spurts out that he hates the scene because it is full of evil pirates and that everyone who wants OtherOS or a working media player must be a pirate.

So, KaKaRoTo has released a CFW that bricked lots of machines in the past and his latest announcement isn't a release at all...and the people love him. If Math wanted to be appreciated, he has a model to follow...and he doesn't follow that model. He wants ridicule.
