Well, you could always link your PS3 pad to your PC and your PC to your 50" screen (if you have one)

You can use PS3 controller on PC

and if you VGA has HDMI support, link it to your TV.

lolz I'm playing AC on my full HD 40" ( ya Im poor I dont have 50" ) with my ps3 control on the pc :o and looks way much better than ps3.
Anyways not the point, but if you wanna play it so bad, just go ahead and upgrade your ps3, if you were expecting an answer saying : don't, in this week we will get a fix or cfw or a downgrade or ( put here whatever you want ) then you gotta think twice. Go buddy, upgrade your ps3 buy the game and have lots of fun

I have dug out my old 40gb Sony 2.5 drive (I stuck a 500Gb one in) - I'm going to sling that back in - update to 3.73, BUY AC Revelations and play that while I wait for a CFW!

Really, really hope that you know that firmware is not held on the HDD alone. Once you update, you're stuck unless you use a hardware flasher.

IMO oblivion skyrim is only game worth updating the ps3 not the ac revelations >.<
