PS3 Blu-ray drive can it cause ylod?
Hi,
I am watching a PS3 60gb system on ebay, the seller has replace the blu-ray lazer but when he has been taking it apart he pulled off the connector that connects the drive to the drives PCB. I e-mail him asking if he has had anyother problems with the system like ylod, he replied saying due to the fault on the drive it is causing ylod. I have done some googling but an not sure if this can cause ylod. Anyone know if this can cause that problem? Thanks Vamp |

Ok thanks, I did think it was bs as he has not stated that it has ylod on the auction info only when I have enquired about it.
I am not sure he has tried the system without the drive plugged but I did read somewhere esle that someone had a faulty drive that caused ylod when the drive was plugged in and booted fine when the drive wasn't connected? |

I didn't bid due what to concerns about the item from what Carldenning said, the price even 6hrs close to the end and googling the info on the fault.
Thanks for the info Carldenning dude. I was very close to making a bid, even at the end but it didn't add up. I hope the winning bidder got a simple fix not a paper weight that was expensive! Please close/trash this thread mod guys. Cheers dude! |
