sorry if this has been discussed but I'm getting a "the data is corrupt" when I try to downgrade software to 3.55

Im running latest firmware and trying to downgrade via a external hd on a fat32 partition. I put the .pup file in the root of the partition and through the ps3 folder like the walkthrough said and neither worked. Any help? Could it be the hard drive I'm using?

try to download the pup again. you need to have a folder on you usb stick in all capitols.

PS3

then another folder inside of that one called

UPDATE

then your pup

so it should look like this

PS3/UPDATE/PS3UPDAT.PUP
