Hi everyone

I have trouble with a 40GB FAT playstation in the process of downgrade! I am using the dongle ps3usbjailbreak as and when I press the power button and then the console will not eject and falls off the screen Connect the controller using a USB cable, and then press the PS button!

The problem is that I pressed the PS button and now the control does not synchronize with the console! I wonder if the console is brinckd if I have to solder something to restore the backup?

what do you mean by $50? $50.00 for E3 Flasher?

seems $50.00 is hard to reach, now the best price I've seen for E3 Flasher is $79.99+FP at http://www.dealsteady.com/_p5588.html....

Hm, i've decided to give wiring a shot. Unfortunately i've got no wires. I actually wanted to buy some, but then i realized that i have no idea which wires i should use in these cases 0_o...

Is there any difference to what kind of wires i use for soldering PS3 to E3 flasher?

Had the same problem with bios write errors and such. But it worked for me when i did the refit process of the clip. And make sure your backup is named correctly. Cuz with the new 3times backup update you have to rename the backup. And they dont mention that either.
It ends with 0,1,2 or something like that but just remove the last number.
Has anyone tried my method i posted in PRO.hacks guide ? (must have working backup)
I restored it from blackscreen and i also got some loop telling me to reinstall system software. Managed to unbrick my slim this way try and then send me a pm of your progress. And also if you want more info of how i did and what problems i hade with errors and such

you can't just slap in your 3.73 hard drive

you need to update via usb or network back to 3.73
but I used a spare hard drive as a dummy so I didn't lose my hacked 3.55 drive
so basically i have 3 hdd's, legit 3.73, dummy drive to downgrade and upgrade from, and 3.55 with all my games and whatever else homebrew

after updating back to 3.73 you can obviously put your 3.73 hdd back in,

a tidious process but works

only solution I can think of to getting out of your brick
is enter recovery mode using your downgrade dongle, so unplug power replug, or switch on and off, power then eject, as you would of done before since u downgraded succesfully
after it goes red light, use the files from step1 with usb closest to br drive
power on, wait till light goes red, format usb copy step 2 file
then plug usb in again, power on wait till light goes red

in theory it should work since your entering recovery mode not some kind of menu, unless were talking about the same thing, and then kicking it out of recovery with the diag files

maybe I should write a guide, looks like lots of people are having trouble and having possible bricks

I've downgraded and upgraded 3 times now, with no hassles
So let me get this straight: You need 3 HDDs

one with 3.73 OFW, a dummy, 3.55 CFW

Say i am on 3.55 CFW, i plug in my dummy drive which is also on 3.55 CFW, update, take that dummy drive out and plug in 3.73 OFW?

How do i go back?

Enter your 3.73 dummy HDD, do the hole downgrade process again, insert 3.55 HDD.

alright. hey i also figured out what u did wrong with the PSPJig thing. It doesnt work properly when on 6.xx CFW and should be put on 5.xx CFW. Run the homebrew first, and then plug in to ps3.
