Sorry to say your trying to reach an empty crowd. Only the people that will actually care what is going around the scene will check or even take the time to read the post.

Don't get me wrong, I agree what this post says but the general crowd, probably 95% just want to see results and it is very easy for them to complain or moan.

Smart developers would understand this, and those of you who value the work should too. Devs appreciate the dedicated "groupies" they have that strive to improve the piece of homebrew/work - and honestly THOSE are the important people that matter.

Quit trying to get people that "are greedy and dont respect devs" to become less greedy and praise devs - they are all mainly a bunch o' kids that don't know any better. This will just save everyone the headache, trouble and flame that has been going on. This is a one sided battle.

I dont think people pirate to be cool, I think they pirate out of need but thats just me.

There is a lot of bull**** from both sides, nobody can keep it real now adays go figure but w/e mad props to those contributing to the scene even if their contributions are only valuable to a select few.

The thing is there is to fewer PS3 Devs the ones who do achieve the great things think they have ascended to godhood or something, they then say oh well I did so can you the fact is if you have 0 coding experience you can start learning now but you probably wont achieve anything until the PS6 comes out.

If they dont want people saying rude/hateful things that makes them mad why even bother posting stuff publicly ? I mean they know when they say "oh i hacked lvl 0" and blog it in a public spot the unskilled masses are going to get whipped into a frenzy and want it. I have no animosity toward anyone I can understand both sides so if they dont want people moaning/raging dont post it to the general public.

AND i appreciate everything every single dev has given us.

I agree with some points but not all. I am so tired of everybody calling each other a PIRATE ? This is so annoying ! This is a everyday thing. It kills me to see everyone doing this ,this is what the scene is = DRAMA. Around march & few months after that we were rolling with HAPPINESS ! The scene was all about gaming & having fun a few months ago & no name calling like today.

I myself have MONEY + OFW 372 . I can play/Buy any game i want ,but guess what ? I just started using multiMAN & i love it. I enjoy just looking at it running on my PS3 with my games on it displayed like i am BlockBuster ! -> ( Makes me HAPPY ) I am way happier to play on my PS3 with all my games I BOUGHT ! On a Backup manager it is just that much better. I hate OFW !!! It sux & this is not "PIRACY TALK" I give a F$CK ,i just like to use 1 PS3 with every game i own on it. I grew tired to switch between 2 or 3 PS3 all the time ,it gets annoying if you use it as much as i do .The PS3 is my main Entertainment system that my whole Home Movie Theater revolves around

Some of you who flame others for just wanting a (Backup Manager) to play there games they bought are just plain wrong .As i bet almost everybody in the scene has used a backup manager !! Long story short ,i am thankful for everything we have & if i have to go back to my OFW 373 ,with no Real homebrew capabilities = The whole shebang .I will stay in the ultimate machine = CFW 355 ! I don't give 2 s h i t s ,if i cant play new games on it i will play every game there is for CFW 355. Most of hypocrites can lie to them selves to make them look better than everybody who enjoys backup manager features. What i find sad is when the scene was rolling 90% used a Backup Manager ! Now whoever wants to have BM features on a new CFW 370+ are bad guys ? Now even the legit all called PIRATES !! So sad the scene has become .How can anybody call this a scene anymore ? It is filled with HATE !

Then scene has only come down to one thing. Those who want to enjoy having a Backup manager, people helped each other out. It did not bother nobody at all before ! Now those who Enjoy/Love backup managers. Whether we bought the game or not, now get slammed with name calling everyday = (PIRATES)!

I would luv to see the installed Backup manager & games, on the very ones PS3, who call out others -> a pirate...

I could not agree with Pirate more. Kids will be kids, there is no sense in trying to teach them maturity when they don't want to learn it or think they have learned it. Maturity and the accompanying logic will come with continued experience as they live life. For now just ignore their ignorance and engage with the dedicated members who support dev work. In all honesty, threads like this induce just as much drama as threads bashing on Devs work. This debate is VERY old and results in nothing productive.

At the risk of causing an uproar I can only half heartedly agree. I agree people need to shut the front door about exploits and that noise. To contend that statement in a true hacking scene when someone goes on twitter saying "0-day!!! 0-day!!!" people won't complain at him and ask for disclosure that's too white hat. They will root the box and take his metldr exploit and leak it. Then for that person to cry about his exploit getting leaked is just juvenile. You mean to say it's inappropriate for me to come to your house and steal your stuff you just paraded around in front of me? To the opposite of the coin the problem with having such idiot proof hacks children can use them. Children will always be immature and will never understand "the adult world". So they will not get alot of work went into the "MW3 hacks". I think there is alot of people who don't have their facts straight in this scene and things need to be addressed. This is the biggest problem with a socialist/anarchist scene like ours. Since anyone with a brain can become a hacker there is and will never be a true leader. Sony was our leader, but in a true roguish fashion we overthrew the fascist dictator.

My opinion is that everyone needs to stop whining, dev's and community members alike. If you are a dev, and are in the scene for the right reason, stop crying when something is leaked, used and improved upon, etc. Stop crying when people ask for this, or for that. Just shut up and code. Stop showing off, and trying to prove **** to other people about how talented you are. This isn't some proprietary software you are writing that will net you billions, it's tools, homebrew, etc for a console.

To the community, stop crying about devs not releasing things, it's their choice, and their choice alone. Stop asking for things that are borderline impossible to achieve, and lower your expectations a bit.

To anyone saying that if you want "this" or "that" to go make it yourself. Simply STFU, and stop using a canned response about something someone asks for. Not everyone can code, and for those with no (or limited) experience, it is pointless to start learning just to try and develop for the ps3 since it will be yesterday's technology by the time anyone is efficient enough to even start writing useful apps/tools/homebrew for the system.

To the devs and the community members who are in the scene to help progress it, I hope you don't take this post to offense. I've just grown tired of reading devs bashing scene followers, and vice versa. Help the scene progress, or GTFO and go be a part of a different scene.

Just my two cents, hate it or love it.
