Hello guys,so i just bought a 20gb ps3 with 3.01 software version on it and no disc drive,cool now i updated it to 3.55,now the next part is jailbraking it.I have a couple of questions.

1.Which cfw do yall recommend?i would prefferably need one with a spoofer since the gaame i need to have on it is socom confrontation and i need to add hacks/mods to it the only way is if i download it from the psn store since i have no disc drive.

2. I have 2 other working ps3's one is a phat 120gb backwards compatible and the other one is an 80gb phat.They both have working disc drives/blue ray,can i take one of those disc drives/blue ray and install it on the 3.55 20gb ps3 which doesnt have one?if so,would it read discs??or is there a particular version i need to have for this ps3?

another thing,will i be able to acces psn with ur guide,with the 3.73 spoofer?all i need to do is download a psn game since i dont have a blueray drive

I think the best is kmeaw or something. If you browse around the forum or google search you should be able to find a 3.73 spoofer, but as PS3 is now 4.00 there's no point. Just wait

Also if you have no disk drive you should use multiMAN to load the games and tpb to download them. You should also have a external HDD if you can't copy it to your PS3 wirelessly. All the information is at the top by your name.

ok,question,since my jb ps3 doesnt have a bluray drive and obviously i cant play disc based games only download them and i cant download any games because for that i have to update my jb ps3,so my question is this,i have another ps3 with games,can i do data trasnfer from that ps3 to the jb ps3 and then access the game files from the jb ps3 with an ftp?is that possible?

You ftp the game files from your pc to your ps3 hdd, then boot them from multiman obviously it involves piracy but this is what i do on my 3.41 xD

yea idk about tha,you see the thing is this,this ps3 jb ps3 im gonna use it to edit codes and mods for socom confrontation,so i need to do data transfer to other ps3 to test them out there,feel me?now since i said i dont have a bluray drive i was wondering if i can do data trasnfer from another ps3 that has the game to the jb,and then acces the files via ftp from the jb ps3 since i did a data transfer from the other ps3 to the jb,feel me?

If ur blu ray is not working I pretty sure you will need to use mfw builder to bypass that issue to install the cfw, if I'm not mistaken. Also there is a tool for remarrying a blu ray drive not sure what it is capiable of but I hope it helps.
Also I would use some of the tut's in the tutorial sections @itskamel tut a good place to start.
