When the developer himself stated it was leaked it WAS confirmed from a news perspective. It wasn't like WE jumped to any conclusion whatsoever and when he stated he made a mistake, the post was updated to reflect it. What's your damn problem?

Here here. This was most definately news. As is the fact that some unspecified other person has the skills to exploit this console. With more and more developers leaving the scene percieving it ungateful the news of a new highly skilled potential hacker is news of the very best type.

We all know that the majority of people do not care about "the scene" or the work of KaKaRoTo (or anyone elses) unless it leads to piracy. Why do people get so upset at the hackers and this sites anti-piracy policy? Because hacking is just as much illegal as piracy is and then telling the majority out there to basically go Fark themselves because "you're all being unethical and/or unlawful's" is just the height of hypocrisy in a "scene" like this.

By doing great work and letting yourself be posted on big news sites sure must be fun. However, without sharing the work, you just dangle the carrot and only bring frustration and eventually, hate. People only want to know something if they can use it. And lets face it, a lot of things that get posted are blatantly useless and come across as pretentious to most people. On top of that some posts are even outright detrimental. (This is not meant to be personal about KaKaRoTo so don't get me wrong and jump on me.)

The old scenes weren't about fame or who's first. They were about sharing and helping everyone. What people did or do with the information or software was entirely their business. Legality, popularity, right, wrong? Didn't used to be an issue. Can't we go back to this?

Good point and one that I also suspect is happening. I do believe that manipulation is playing a roll here. Some peoples arguments, not only on this site, but on a few other news sites seem very suspicious. I've even called a few people out, on several different occasions, by stating that, by the way they're arguing, it seemed very much like they're being paid to say it. As soon as I called them out, they "disappeard" and did not reply or ever come back. And as we all know, trolls usually don't just up and leave. They stay and argue anything till the bitter end no matter what their beliefs are.

They just needed confirmation, they figured out how he did it, and he did more than confirm their suspicions.

We never il get sony keys or new firmwares, kakarotoks firmware don´t play any backups(the most important thing of a cfw imo) so i think we never i il get the ****ing keys, or we il get after 1 year or when ps4 is released, sony win this ****ing war, when we get 3.73 keys, sony will release keys from 4.0 fw so we never il get a fully hackable ps3 NEVER!
