I understood that I can use my E3 Flasher on several consoles. Can you tell me how can I dump NOR flash if one flasher is for one console?

E3 dump checker is crap it doesn't check certain brick types
E3 think it's a working dump while it still bricks ps3devwiki has this in huge font Make sure you have several proper dumps of your flash before even trying writing to it! Use unpacking tools (e.g. Norunpack, Flowrebuilder, Norpatch etc.) and hexeditors (e.g. HxD) and use flash page as reference. CRC/MD5 is not a method to check your flash (if it is bad, you are only comparing if the other file is equally bad). You cannot recover from bad flash without proper dumps (e.g. bricking the console beyond repair).

Are u sure you can use e3 for different console??
I tried backup my second ps3 and its showing 1100100 (not original ps3) error (e3 method) I was using E3's downgrade.bin so If I patch my bkkps3.bin manually with your tutorial and it can work with multiple consoles? is that the problem ? Last edited by ldh888; 12-02-2011 at 02:24 PM. |

when you use the FUN Mode to Flash the NOR the e3 don't check the ps3 version or something else!
he erase the nor and flash your bkpps3.bin! so forget the lock or unlock switch or something else! you only use the FUN Mode and for backup the nor the Backup switch! it was test many times and it works 100%! I have downgrade a fat and a slim with one e3 flasher! |

i see what you did here. treated the e3 like a progskeet. If you look at it, using an e3 is easier because only one wire needs to be soldered.
Good tut |
