lol
I dual boot, but but I use Linux much, much more often. Pretty much all of the applications I use have a Linux equivalent. I can get by without even having windows, but I like to have options. The only program that I really use on Windows is Photoshop.

IE is useful for certain government websites. There are also a few other Adobe apps that are useful other than PhotoShop.

Finally after 26 years MS Paint has more functionality? Great job by M$.....

lol, in 1985 there was no way a PC could handle 4096 colors..... maybe 16 colors but that was it

Send a message via AIM to <GEEK>
A lot of people in this thread seem to have a "virus" (malware) severely confused with spyware/adware. As for things being downloaded, installed, and run via Active-X controls (or the like), it still requires user interaction unless you are running a very outdated OS/browser.

Nonetheless though, as @KillerBug stated, Malwarebytes' with Adblock is your best friend

I actually didnt click on anything once i got to the homapage. This is exactly what I did...

I started Internet Explorer 9 (Wannabe Chrome version), it goes to my homepage AOL.com (i have no idea why i dont change lol). Then I go to address bar and type exactly, no quotes, "ps3hax.net" then I push Enter. Homepage loads and I start scrolling down to check out front page articles and out of nowhere Windows Spyware 2012 pops up doing some scan showing all these Trojans popping up. I have never installed this software before so it was a suprise t me seeing it. I go to look in notification area for Microsoft Essentials and the program had closed and I was unable to start the program again. Then I decide to restore, I think I typed "recover into my start menu and chose the recovery link and it was a broken link. Now i started tripping out. Then I typed restore and the restore link worked. So i restored my PC to 3 days prior and lost out on an Adobe Update as Windows 7 tells you what has changed since retore date.

So I have no idea but whenever I go to your homepage it lags!!! I can see all the sites its looking for in the little area near bottom of window telling you what stuff is being loaded.

OK ill see if i can remember anything else and even at my work where we use a corporate edition (not sure ecactly what edition) of ESET NOD32 AV and one time I went to PS3hax.net a few months ago, and ESET went off saying i was virused. 90% of the time I go to Ps3hax homepage it takes forever to load a page, so much crap going on behind the scenes. From now on im staying off homepage but it sucks because that was my go to place for scene news

The picture of the program shown is what my infection was like...and yeah it might be spyware as opposed to virus, I might be confusing the technical terms.
