PS3Hax Black Ops Tournament/Server (XLink-Kai)
Just testing the water really, the reason i have suggested black ops and not say modern warfare 3 on XLink Kai is because a lot of users are on a variant of 3.55 atm so no PSN access, I would be happy to host
Would anybody be interested in a tournament or maybe just a private hosted game just for PS3Hax members? Other Games can also be played between members such as Blur MW2 Homefront etc etc just thought it might be a nice idea to bring the community together and maybe even get GregoryRasputin on the server cos' lets be honest, who wouldn't wanna shoot GR himself :P I've added a poll to this post but for those interested in doing this please post some ideas on how we could distribute the password to the dedicated game/tournament IRC is one option and any other idea's you guys may have! the idea behind using xlink is it allows access for members on any firmware rather than just having it restricted to FW 4.0 only plus the logical game there would be MW3 as opposed to black ops xlink is really easy to set up

do i need wireless modem i only got a wired concection from router to ps3 i can not go router to pc then to ps3 i cant do that.

well it really deserves a seperate thread and i think there a tutorial for xlink but...
you need a laptop pc wth either 2 LAN connections or a LAN and wireless and a XOver patch lead [PS3]---XOver Lead-----[LAN on laptop/pc] and have laptop/pc connect to internet via other LAN port or wireless its really that simple |

MW3 cannot be played on 3.55 then?
I believe hosting a PS3 COD game on X-link would be a major success. Totally in for it. |

i reackon the more people get it setup the better for all cfw users and also there is a time factor different times could be a head ache for some |

the idea is get together and work out who can host and when etc etc, like im in the UK so i can host 7pm-10/11pm work nights and plenty of hours in the weekend, but thats no good to someone who lives in Australia lol! its just a case of everyone getting together and ironing out the lil creases we could even run multiple matches at any one time with enough users, so ppl who want CTF or TDM or FFA etc have the choice
