I guess there must be a fair bit of variance in the parts...I tried to extend the buttons in my fat the same way and had problems with random ejects...yet the power didn't seem to have that issue. You obviously got away with extending both without issue.

Of course, it doesn't really matter too much anymore...I was just doing it to automate the process of using the old JB key that I don't need with CFW.
