@hackoncrack Looks like rogue ware... Did you check to see if any of the "infections" it found actually existed on your pc? Considering it found an EICAR test file (file who's md5 hash/fingerprint is included in virtually EVERY malware scanner for testing purposes), as well as some files located at "C:\Users\Virus Demo", and on top of that... I know a few of those are spread via peer-to-peer networks.

Worth a shot to see if "microsoftscanreg.exe" exists on your pc, if so, it is most likely in the registry under the following key to ensure it loads with each system boot -

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run (or the other "Run" keys [RunOnce, etc..])

Look for the string value (REG_SZ/REG_EXPAND_SZ type) -
Microsoft Scanreg

With the data -
"%Windir%\microsoftscanreg.exe"

Or like previously stated, just download Malwarebytes' Anti-malware. It's free, can be run beside nearly every other antivirus/malware/spware/etc/etc scanner available without conflicting with one another, and very "lite" from www.malwarebytes.org.

If you use Kazaa, don't. If you download torrents, only download from trusted uploaders, and from trusted sources.

Either way, you didn't get anything from ps3hax.net.

@<GEEK>

That wasn't the actual screentshot from when my PC was virused, that was just an image I googled so I could show you guys what it looked like. Thanks for the tips though, I ll keep them in mind. And HELL NO!!!!! I dont use Kazaa, I used that like maybe 6-7 years ago...lol...but yeah im well aware of the garbage that program infests your PC with. Basically if I want to destroy someone's PC, I will install Kazaa for them...LOL. I do use uTorrent and my rule of thumb is to only download things where like 100s or 1000s are seeding...my logic tells me that these files wouldnt be seeded so heavily if they had known viruses but yeah that's not 100% safe.

I will be looking into malware bytes...thanks!!

@GregoryRasputin

Is there a way to uninstall IE? I would love to use Chrome but i hate the fact that I would have a useless program that i cant get rid of sitting there...i think im a little OCD. I think I will try it out but if I use Chrome I would like to uninstall IE as I like to keep my PC clean of unnecessary programs...thanks!!

@hackoncrack Not all .torrents with a high number of seeds are legit. I wouldn't base my .torrent downloads on the number of seeds. Try to use torrent sites that display some sort of ranking/trust level for those who upload the torrents.

Anyways, hope everything is straightened out with your pc now.

Update on win antivirus 2012. In the task manager this task is labeled jlm.exe, and the file is located in c:\users\"you"\appdata\local. End task then del file.
