Oh and do you put the wire through the hole on point SBE on the softboard? Or do you just add solder and stick it on? And how can I tell if it worked? Will my PS3 stay on and not turn off?
Here too, waiting for a solution, soldered wire as reqd, have placed verified backup of 3.55cfw bios on TF card, switches set to 100000,powered up, power light goes green, very faint power in e3 flasher lights, no lights on the area above the esata connection point of e3 flasher, pressing the start button on e3 does nothing happens. This is the second attempt after soldering a wire between the two points as per debricking instructions.

Quite a few times I have found issues with e3 flasher not having good power.
One few things is that there is no protection of all the connection solder points and pin and are exposed to touching other metal which causes a mild shortage and withdraw in power. Make sure you TF board portion and HDD connector isn't touching any other metal parts on the inside of PS3 HDD Original insert.

What I did, I used heat resistant tape and cover all metal to make sure nothing touches.

PS WHEN YOUR FLASHING YOUR BACKED UP BIOS SWITCHES ARE NEED TO BE 100000. IF NOTHING HAPPENS THEN MOVE AROUND THE TF BOARD AND MAKE SURE OF A GOOD CONNECTION AND TRY AGAIN. E3 FLASHER IS VERY SENSITIVE.

Should be a 6 greens and a flashing blue in standby, if not check connections

Reopen your PS3 and check the clip on your motherboard.
I had the same error until i fixed my clip installation with like 30 meters of ducktape

I'd use the something thine as speaker wire but DONT use a speaker wire it won't work correctly. Maybe like go to radio shack or best buy and buy a roll of wire should be good.

[QUOTE=NHadsl97aeazr;296961]ok so just to make sure im following you correctly...when im flashing it with the 3.73 the only thing that should be up is the first switch...after it gets flashed correctly i should take the micro sd card out without turning the ps3 off and add the downgrade file to it...then put it back in the the e3 flasher then move switch one down (switch 2,3,4,5 and 6 were already down when i flashed it) then put switch 6 UP AND THEN HIT RESET?

Flash my mod bios first, then unplug ps3. Start it then flash your own backed up bios, leave ps3 on dont turn off. push reset button after you move switches 000001, so 1-5 is up and 6 is down. push reset again. add downgrade.bin file and your own backup bios then push start.
